If during a tiral it is discovered a cop used an illegal means to arrest a subject such as planting evidence or illegal wiretap then how do you think that would play out in court? No, not at all. What we have is an investigation that has nothing to do with politics, and started before Trump ran for office and before Manafort was his campaign manager. This isn't a political issue. It's a legal issue. It's about an American citizen working for a foreign government, hiding it, and then hiding all of the money he made.

Manafort is under investigation for a number of things, some of which is leading to direct collusion with the Russian government.

Yesterday it was discovered Manafort had offered to directly to brief the Russians on a weekly basis.

The means and motive behind obtaining the wiretap. It's pretty obvious now there was a concerted effort on the administrations part to make this fake Russia dossier (fake evidence)/collusion (fake evidence/Manafort) theme stick. It didn't win them the election so they double down to try to nullify. It's going to blow up in their face.

Mueller isn't stupid. He isn't going to go down in history as the man who tried to unseat a President based on a fake dossier and crimes committed by someone other than the President. Especially when there's an obvious concerted effort on the opposing party's part to try and make that happen even going so far as to creating fake evidence, trying to sell said evidence and collectively lying to cover their tracks. Again the pattern of their actions is what will get them in the end.

There is no middle ground here. Either definitive jury convincing evidence of collusion is provided or the democratic party is done.
