Cassandram, there's no slander in this thread. Slander = False claims. My claims were well documented and confirmed by other independent webmasters.
It should be noted, cassandram, that your latest update directly and blatantly contradicts your first defensive post.
"there is no [cookie] over ride at all for any pops of any kind"
-vs-
"leak bug" (whatever the hell that means)
and
"We have corrected this bug across all sites, the cookie issue has been resolved."
Despite your grandiose "NO SHAVE" claims, you guys got caught overwriting affiliate cookies -- in an obvious and prolific way. Your .5% claim is pure bullshit, and you know it. You know this has been going on for years. It's precisely why I pulled my links long ago.
-----
Having said that... it seems that you've cleaned it up a lot now. I just tested my links. It appears that my cookies are sticking, and are not being overwritten. A dramatic improvement.
Other positive points to mention...
- The join form leaks have been fixed. They no longer link out to console-enabled tours. Massive improvement.
- The tour page leak drawer (fixed to the bottom of some tour pages) is still there, but it seems that the cookies now persist from site to site. This was positively NOT the case previously as you claimed. Much improved.
- It appears that the Black Friday console no longer overwrites affiliate cookies like it did previously. Much better.
- The join page console (when backing off the join page) is gone. So cookies appear to persist even when the surfer leaves the join page. Good.
- In my test, I didn't see the notorious 15673 cookie at all.
Final thoughts...
- Note my use of *seems* and *appears* above. Sextronix could be faking these improvements. If they want to shave you, they'll find a way. In any case, Sextronix has proven that you have to watch them closely. I suggest you check your links/cookies carefully and often if you decide to promote them.
- Sextronix' entire business model is still built on fucking surfers with fine print and cross sells. Obviously, that's nothing new in this industry -- but $100+ on a "free" signup is pure shit (you fucking hear me CECash, WhaleCash, et. al?). That business model is dying and if you want to keep up, it's time to adapt. Now. :2 cents:
- Sextronix has been around since the stone ages. While many others have disappeared, they're still here.
- Sextronix always paid me (when I promoted them). Every time. And I can't say that about several other sponsors I've used.
- That's why I have a lingering hope they'll get their shit together. Reinvent themselves. And begin building a new legacy.
Somebody please check my findings. I'm interested to see if anyone else notices the improvements and/or if you even care any more.
