This is a wise take on the current state of "the Adult Industry". In MY opinion I will add that I think there IS no "Adult Industry" anymore. Not like there used to be. Now we have mostly web-based independent companies all competing with each for traffic and ad dollars. Paysites are individual islands of ecommerce, operating mostly on their own. Cam girls live in their own little cam bubbles. Dating sites and dick pills - is that even "porn"?

The Adult landscape, like all entertainment in the 21st century, is scattered far and wide and mostly niche-oriented.

If there was an actual rape, no one should have any sympathy for the guy. Being rejected from AVN is quite mild on the list of bad things that should happen to an actual rapist. Imagine being an adult industry worker and, being raped. The odds of discrimination are quite high. My heart goes out to any woman in that circumstance. I've been there myself and, it is a brutal thing to carry around.

However, that is a big accusation to be throwing around with no proof to back it up. I've never met the man. I've been on quite a few sets and, have never heard anything like that discussed. Yes: that there are predators in this industry who prey on vulnerable girls who are often too afraid, drug dependent or psychologically damaged to protest. It's disgusting and it's NOT ok in any way. I am agreeing with your views here. Just because it is sex work does NOT mean sexual assault of any kind is ok. Respect for a woman's body should be the norm. Professionalism should always be the norm 100% of the time. Groping, touching, acting like a woman is a "thing" is never ok.

First of all, I am not being smug. You've seriously misread that. I even shared that I was raped and, how emotionally brutal it was not to be taken seriously because of my occupation. I don't wish that on anyone. It is an incredibly difficult thing to carry around. 17 years later and, I still have nightmares. My point is that there is a huge difference between grabbing a woman's boobies for an AVN photo and, literally raping a woman. I was quite clear in my previous post that if he was actually raping women, being shunned from AVN is an incredibly mild punishment.
