Here a quote from Paxum Support Team email:
Q: I have already paid yearly fee but never received the card from Choice Bank.
A: If you have requested a Paxum Prepaid Card issued by Choice Bank in the past but never received nor activated it, we will fully refund the Yearly Fee back to your account. You will be able to order a Temporary card at any time again and pay the yearly fee at the time of the new request.

I had a Choice Bank card in the past that was never activated just because of undergone changes with the platforms i work with, and i'm still not refunded. I'm waiting an answer to the ticket i opened about that.
Now plans changed again and i go back to paxum. Of course i've been charged again with the yearly fee when i applied for the temporary card. The motion tend to go always in the same direction, same old story :winkwink: :2 cents:

New card numbers showed up under ''my account''

Matyko 05-16-2018 11:41 PM

I received a card, haven't activated it yet though. Based on the papers that came with the card I believe you can withdraw $1k per day, with max $500 per transaction.. Withdrawal fee is $2 + 1.25%

Yelp! A withdrawal fee of $2 + 1.25% on a $500 transaction is a total of:
500 x 0.0125 = 6.25
add to that the fixed $2 fee
and you end up with a total of $2 + $6.25 = $8.25 in fees to withdraw $500
That's a total fee of 8.25 / 500 = 1.65%
Add to that the yearly card fee of $44.95 and the card comes out as an expensive withdrawal option!

Compare that to a US ACH withdrawal, of $2500 for the total fee of $5
then you end up with a fee percentage of only 5 / 2500 = 0.2%

Paxum sure enough did not announce this new card fee! Sure enough it was stated
"new cards on the way"
and
"new cards will be provided, at no extra cost to you"
They just forgot to tell about the new fee which will render the card a very expensive withdrawal product.

Say that you want to withdraw $2500
that will now take you three separate days with the card, since the maximum per day is $1000, but spread over at least two transactions of $500 each. Not only will you need to go to an ATM no less than five times, you'll also have to pay $8.25 per ATM visit. So withdrawaing $2500 is going to cost you, not only the time but also 5 x $8.25 = $41.50 in total fees.

Compare that again to the $5 US ACH withdrawal for the same amount $2500 and it takes about the same time, under normal conditions. The new card surely becomes very expensive!

yep, indeed... but I suspected that this new temporary card that they secured quite fast will have some shitty fee like this. I'll probably stick with EFT and will use the card for smaller ATM withdrawals only.

Hey. Do you know if there is a currency conversion commission on top of that 1.25% ?
I assuming there is? If so, ill definitely be cancelling my card.

Fucked up if true..

Sharon1974 05-17-2018 02:34 AM

What's the problem with the fees? If you make so much money as we do why bother over a few bucks? Just use the EFT option for large withdrawals. The daily withdraw limit is more a issue.

SleepWalker 05-17-2018 02:54 AM

Choice is dead. Paxum had to find another card provider. There is not dozen of compagnies offering them. We may actually be lucky they found one. On the plus side the monthly spending limit doubled to 20k. I should finally be able to pay most of my adv fees directly from Pax.

Now I hope it will be possible to access the trs list soon cause without it I can’t add it to PayPal and validate...

Can I ask in what country you are located? Can’t wait for people in the UK to get it. Thanks

I am using a phone and I am seeing the mobile version of GFY. Didn’t show. Also the location under avatar doesn’t guarantee this is where he is currently located

With bigger amounts, and under normal circumstances (regarding time), wire will always be an better option. Also with foreign exchange, because the local foreign banks are usually exchanging at the middle rate.

If you run a business, and depending on your local laws, fees can also be tax deductible. Fees will always reduce income. But the higher tax you pay, the less costly fees will become if deductible.

Ruth,

I requested a card on 2018-04-26 and today (2018-05-18) it is still in "Printing" after near a whole month!

This way it will take ages to be sent!

Please give it a look ASAP.

Thanks.

People got cards from trucash.com so far. What did you get?
Wirecard seems to be in Germany, maybe this is what they are using for some countries??

MatureKing 05-19-2018 05:17 AM

Trucash.com cards is what Paxum has been sending lately but then your post suggested you or someone you know received a card from Paxum that was issued by wirecardbank. Is this what you meant?

MatureKing 05-19-2018 07:05 AM

SleepWalker 05-19-2018 07:05 AM

Just linked and confirmed Paxum card to my Paypal account. To do so you need to log to trucash.com and check your transaction history to get Paypal code.

Make sure you have a few bucks loaded first...

MatureKing 05-19-2018 07:17 AM

I'm interested to open online Bank account with prepaired USD card

SevY 05-22-2018 12:31 AM

Currently 37 days are gone from my Paxum Credit Card inquiry and:

- My card requests still shows in "Printing Status"
- The ticket I opened is still unassigned after 37 days
- I got NOT a single reply from Paxum support.

I'm starting to worry for my money...

why? you can withdraw your funds by many other withdrawal options, card is just one of them.

Johnyman 05-22-2018 03:56 AM

I found that during activation I have to enter full info about card:
Card Number
Card Expiry Date
CVV
Passport or ID Number -
Security Question
Security Answer

And as I remember Paxum didnt ask such info for the old card.

Why Paxum wants to have full access to my card now???!!

All is new here is the Passport or ID number, they probably don't validate it anyway but to be sure enter the same as when you validated your Paxum account... I am not sure if the info is for Paxum or trucash. the security question / answer is something new, you can enter anything. the card, exp, cvv, why would you care to give it? this is to activate your card, you just enter the info from the card. If I recall, they also ask for a pwd. That password is obviously the one you'll use to log via trucash.com
