I don't believe anything that any "expert" says.
There seems to be an "expert" for every issue. And yet...these "experts" have been advising and shaping foreign AND domestic policy for decades. And their track record is abysmal. |

U.S. Gives Financial Aid to 96% of All Countries According to the federal government, for fiscal year 2012, “The United States remained the world’s largest bilateral donor, obligating approximately $48.4 billion—$31.2 billion in economic assistance and $17.2 billion in military assistance.” However, “obligated” funds are not the same as “dispersed.” The U.S. disbursed $33.2 billion—$19 billion in economic assistance to 184 countries and $14.2 billion in military assistance to 142 countries. Out of the top six U.S. foreign aid recipients, five of them were Muslim countries. |

Maybe just maybe there's a reason China has moved missiles to its new islands and deployed their version of the b52 bomber to the area, while the USA is also sending in bigger fire power. No doubt Russia has a few subs lurking as well.
"A North Korean official has lashed out at US Vice President Mike Pence and said Pyongyang is ready for a nuclear showdown if dialogue with the United States fails. Whether the U.S. "will meet us at a meeting room or encounter us at nuclear-to-nuclear showdown is entirely dependent upon the decision and behaviour of the United States" Since Trumps been in.. NK had no nukes, then maybe they had one, then it came out they had at least 5, 6 months later they were saying 60 which is now 6 months ago, and it looking like Chinas got his back. If you all missed.. this week was the one China said CheckMate. |

And you'd certainly have a hard time proving trump's to blame for NK's timeline of nuke dev, they've been increasing missile tests and such every year, year after year. I hate bringing up obama and hillary here but both of them played hard ball with Un, he certainly was building an arsenal in reaction to their bluster as well. And Un's dad before him with previous administrations, bush, clinton, etc et al, for decades. next, their missiles are theoretical at best, there was 1 high arc test that succeeded and doing the math on the arc show that missile *could* make it to mainland USA. Most importantly, NK has about $0.48 to spend on a nuke showdown with America. |

nuke missile dev in NK has nothing to do with trump https://amp.businessinsider.com/imag...fc-750-563.png |

He said you have to be able to walk away in order to get movement from the other side. If the other side thinks you are committed to doing something no matter what...then they have no reason to negotiate. Also...the meeting is STILL on. Trump has said so. Not sure why you are saying it isn't. At 3:36 p.m. Pacific time on Wed....North Korea THREATENED to pull out of the summit. You can't threaten to pull out of something that isn't happening. As for President Trump...these were the last comments he made on Wed. "Whatever it is," Trump said, "we will know next week about Singapore and if we go I think it will be a great thing for North Korea." So the premise of this thread is not correct. As far as negotiating goes...I wouldn't be surprised if this meeting does NOT take place yet. Pulling out of the meeting is a powerful negotiating tool for each side. BUT...the U.S. definitely has the upper hand and Trump knows it. For Kim Jung Un to meet with Pres. Trump is 100% good for Un and he knows it. Trump is definitely in the power seat. But having said that...Asian culture is different than ours. And as I understand it, "saving face" is a big part of that. So huffing and puffing before the talks is pretty much expected. And Trump knows that. He's negotiated with people in the Far East for decades. As the President has said over and over and over: "We'll have to wait and see". This is all standard "Art Of The Deal" stuff. And of course...ANY negotiation can go south in a hurry. That may very well happen. And if the meeting does not occur, it will put the North Koreans in a dangerous spot. It could very well mean military action and regime change. That is something that was going to happen eventually no matter who the President was. The U.S. has long ago laid down the marker that North Korea can not be allowed to have nukes. Trump has taken us further toward a negotiated settlement than any other President. And the reason I said I don't believe ANY of these so-called "experts" is simple: None of their "expert" advice helped any former administrations get anything done with North Korea. If this "expert" is so clever and so knowledgeable...then why didn't Pres. Obama heed him and "fix" the North Korea problem? Or why didn't George Bush? Or Bill Clinton? Or Bush Sr.? Or Reagan? Or Carter? Or Ford? Or Nixon? Or Johnson? Or Kennedy? Or Eisenhower? Or Truman? The answer is because these "experts" at universities are teachers. And there's an old saying: "Those that can DO, those that can't TEACH" |
The dotard chump canceled the meeting lol. He's such a snowflake. They are reading the letter he sent lol
|
I wouldn't read too much into what's on and what's off until after the deadline
It's beneficial for both sides, however both have asked for conditions the other won't/ can't keep, expect a lot of jostling by both and maybe they can reach some middle ground.. that's not Hawaii. Good chance to read up on North Koreas capabilities. https://media.defense.gov/2018/May/2...KOREA-2017.PDF |

Now Trump can go to war with N Korea and blame Kim Jong Un.
Trump is now threatening nuclear war... 'America's nuclear weapons are so "massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never be used," the president wrote to the North Korean leader in a letter released by the White House.' This is what Trump has wanted all along. |

This is quite the mess now. I read trump agreed to the Un meeting <45 minutes after the invite to do so, no due diligence, no discussion with his "experts", you know, the best of the best he claims he hired. He got played by the Asians, who also overplayed their hand and now Trump feels snubbed by the fact that NK never was going to give up their nukes. trump is no deal maker or negotiator. big mess now. |

The deal is off, that's reality. You don't publicly cancel a nuke summit days before as a negotiating tactic. we have massive military in the area, as well as others but trump thinks canceling the meeting will be the negotiating tactic that causes Un to give up nukes....that's not a trump card. Un will never give up his nukes, trump played himself into a corner. he's no negotiator or deal maker. the whole thing is a massive mess now.

Here's another tip Trump supporters, Trump hired Bolton because he wants to invade NK. You can expect a build up of Trump NK hate tweets to start an invasion after before the 2020 elections in 2019. |

Trump said over and over and over (though the MSM and apparently you never listened) that if a deal is "bad" you get up and walk away. Hell, he basically skewered John Kerry for NOT walking away from the Iran deal. Not all negotiations work out in the end. But believe me, this IS a negotiating tactic. And your opinion on Trump's negotiating skills is about as relevant as the "Expert". Neither you or I or that "expert" have EVER been on the level that Trump has been on his entire life. And yet...here we both are discussing this as if we each have the answers. lol Such is the human ego. :pimp |
