Amazon always adds tax to the total here anyway. No big deal for California, lots of new money for other states.

It seems as though the relevant news falls right in your lap these days

McCain minority staff director Henry Kerner to IRS official Lois Lerner and other IRS

officials: “the solution is to audit so many that it becomes financially ruinous”

The explosive exchange was contained in notes taken by IRS employees at an April 30, 2013, meeting between Kerner, Lerner, and other high-ranking IRS officials. Just ten days following the meeting, former IRS director of exempt organizations Lois Lerner admitted that the IRS had a policy of improperly and deliberately delaying applications for tax-exempt status from conservative non-profit groups.

Smart business thinking.

Or diversify the business into specific entities that do business with each other.

Then why hasn't Amazon been charging us sales tax? They DEFINITELY not only have distribution centers here...but also lots of "Amazon Lockers".

Very confusing. But I guess not anymore.

Nevada actually has an Amazon law, they worked a deal to charge tax in the state a few years back. Amazon does not charge tax on 3rd party seller merch sold.

"That's the thing about the Left:

When it comes to Islam they believe in Religious Freedom

When it comes to gays they believe in marriage

When it comes to the American Indians, they believe in immigration enforcement

When it comes to anti-conservative ideas, they believe in free speech.

All their ideas are insincere because they are seated in contrarian logic. It's why Trump can never be a good enough President for them. They, by nature, are unprincipled."

I did not know that.

BTW, nothing in this ruling says states must start taxing online sales and it will be a while before you see it.

Judicial Watch Obtains IRS Documents Revealing McCain’s Subcommittee Staff Director Urged IRS to Engage in “Financially Ruinous” Targeting

The April 30, 2013 meeting came just under two weeks prior to Lerner’s admission during an ABA meeting that the IRS had “inappropriately” targeted conservative groups. In her May 2013 answer to a planted question, in which she admitted to the “absolutely incorrect, insensitive, and inappropriate” targeting of Tea Party and conservative groups, Lerner suggested the IRS targeting occurred due to an “uptick” in 501 (c)(4) applications to the IRS but in actuality, there had been a decrease in such applications in 2010.

You guys seriously need help.

Oh... and McCain's a hero. Today you fuckwits are posting pics of him with Hillary and for the last 20 years you fuckwits have been calling him a bloodthirsty warmonger. Funny stuff.... that flexible morality of yours.

Saw a kinda poignant meme the other day that said:
If you're not a Democrat when you're young you don't have a heart.
And if you're not a Republican when you're older you don't have a brain.
lol

Ok, same question again, does this apply to digital goods ?

Have memberships and cam sales etc just been hit with sales tax ?

This is an adult board and the most pertinent question is not being addressed.

Likely, figure a $100k per state before you're hit for now.. This will likely get lowered eventually and/or Congress will set total sales threshold.

The problem is until they come up with a better system. Collecting sales tax all of over the country would be a nightmare for the small biz owner online. Its not like one rule , they all have different ones and different filing. I remember when we had a clothing business years ago. Filing the sales tax was a pain in the ass. Near the end have a shitty month but still got to file and send for $2.36. Also cant play around with sales tax, when I worked in the car business. A body shop we used, the owner wasnt filing and paying the sales tax,he collected. They arrested him.

For adult it will be ccbill's problem more than the site owners.

The tax and spend state-level Democrats will have new tax laws in place before the end of summer. Gotta get in on that holiday spending windfall.
