I'll make a bold prediction... in 10 years your new born will be spammed by swoit too! ;_))) |
Well FT it's nice to see so much supporrt and sad to see assholes making fun and giving ya shit tho...
Spam sucks...it gives all good webmaster a bad name and the assholes that spam are wacked. There are easy optin programs out there, but their too stupid, cheap and fucked up to use them... And wazzup with the jerky answer "it's like anal sex, it hurts at first....get used to it, bla, bla, bla" Must be a spammer! I gotta ask....would he like his dick yanked on by a goat and told to "get used to it"? |

this morning i got an email from Pennywize (a service i haven't used in almost 4 years) to let me know my account just expired, and that they've just teamed up with Swoit.
|
i also got that pennwize/swoit email. havent used them in like 2 years
|
You go FetishTemptress. The dozens of swoit spams were not really bugging me until this morning when I got one stating that a company I actually have a business relationship with had turned off my account (they hadn't) and I needed to address that problem and possibly promote swoit. I guess the numbers must work on this stuff, but I'm weirded out that anyone would respond positively to something like that.

I'm a parent too and amazingly enough my kids seldom ever get spam...and never porn spam...see, I do this thing called parenting and I setup filters for their email addresses. It took me about 10 minutes.
I'm not defending sending spam to kids but I also don't see why parents don't take the time to protect their children on every level. Suprisingly enough though, I only recieved one email from swoit and I have affiliate accounts with most everyone accused of selling email addresses to swoit. I have 30 or so email addresses too and still only recieved the one email from them. FT, if I were you, I'd also be concerned about where your daughter's email address was acquired. If swoit merely bought a list of emails they might have assumed were good, adult opt-in emails and they weren't, well, they may have unknowingly bought the email address. I won't get into the ethical/moral discussions of buying email lists, but this is something I always stress to people buying email lists: be wary of who you buy your lists from. In a realistic sense, swoit gains absolutely nothing from knowingly spamming your child. She doesn't have sites, traffic, a program, etc. therefore, they have nothing to gain (and a whole lot to lose) by knowingly spamming your child. While I understand your anguish, I hope this also shows the importance of parental filtering and control over what your children are exposed to. I realize we can't protect children from everything, but we can help educate them. My children are too young for chatrooms at the moment, but once they get older and express an interest in it, you can bet I'll have every spyware tool I can find to monitor their useage, where they go and log chat conversations. |
Good Morning
This post was just brought to my attention, and I would like to clear up exactly what is going on. As you know, we collect signup details when members attempt to sign up to Swoit and other various sites. As every sponsor does, we email these attempted signups once they have gone for 5 days without actually signing up. We also email recently cancelled members to see if they would like a subscription again. For anyone who has received this email to a non adult address, I apologize and i understand your frustration. These are not lists that we purchased, or anything like that - these are simply the details that have been submitted into our signup forms. For anyone concerned, please email me directly - gfysteve AT swoit.com - with the email address in question and I will provide you with the signup date & time, username & passsword chosen, address details, browser information & IP address of the attempted signup if it helps you track down how this address was provided to us. We would never ever willingly spam minors, and will be around for a while to help anyone who asks track this down further. Regards, Steve |
Now THAT is funny
