Trump applied for a casino licence in Aus, which was declined due to his mafia connections. Part of that application was giving full permissions for the Australian Government to investigate him, and his businesses... that waiver doesn't have an expiry date, all signed by trump.

Rosenstein's check-in with the White House is merely a trump loyalty check since Jeff Sessions will be resigning after the elections.
And you don't think he is really going to bump him up do you.
He is going to appoint someone who will put a end to the investigation. Without sessions, nobody would be recused.
Rosenstein would not head the investigation anymore.

But it is possible that congress has a bit more pressure to move him up... we shall see...

If the republican's loose really bad in the mid-terms, I do wonder what legislation they will pass in the 2 months they have before having the door hit them in the ass.

Apparently Rosenstein IS resigning.. Trump asked him to hold off until Thursday. Story is he's doing so because he doesn't want to testify before Congress about the allegations.. As in GUILTY as charged..

It has been clear, trump and his team have been trying to find something to put him in that situation.

Congressional leadership has warned trump not to fire him as that would almost mandate hearings.

Sessions is going to announce his resignation after the election. But for when ?
Trump has 2.5 months to actually make some kind of move if he wants to save his ass.
Nothing he can do that will not make matters worse though.

His seemingly need to kill this investigation with such vigor almost incriminates him by itself. And no regard for the national security issue that is at it's core.

So many have ignored so many things they would never have accepted from anyone else at any time that for me at this point in time, I don't want to stick around to find my worst dreams come true. If this bonehead is able to remain in office past his first term, I'm taking citizenship somewhere else unless trump builds a wall to keep me in.

I don't know if the next 2 administrations can repair the damage done this far and yet to be realized 2-8 years from now.

By the first of the year, you will begin to 'FEEL' the effects of the trade war he has started. But know the full effects will not be realized for more than a year from now.

The only folks that have benefited by trumps action thus far are the Russians. Who always make a profit from any limitations on oil exports or blockades.
Oil right now is $10 bl higher on just the idea of blocking oil exports from Iran. And it has not even happened yet.
So know that all of us are going to pay for this shit ! Many with their jobs !

When the price of oil hits $90 , it's all over for the US economy. It will take 6 months to measure that negative economic activity but it will be shrinking. And the Russians will be making a killing with their exports. Paying for their external military interventions.
And what will that do to your taxes when the military asks for even more money to counter those new threats.

We will soon after see a new banking crisis cause we never really fixed the issues from the last one.

But I still believe in due process and the rule of law and will wait for this to play out.

Rosenstein is the one who is resigning.. Resigning because he was plotting to overthrow the President and it's CONFIRMED by pretty much everyone else who were in BOTH of the meetings... Do you get that? Not just one "joking" comment.. TWO different meetings..

So that leaves a bit of a dilemma doesn't it. For trump anyway.

He can't fire him or congress will have hearings on the whole thing.
He has more experience in the Justus dept than anyone else and should be in that top job.
His qualifications are much higher than sessions is or ever would be.
Trump needs a reason to not move him up to that top spot. It is his one chance to get rid of this without triggering a congressional investigation.

How is he going to do it ?

Even if he does just resign after meeting with trump, it will likely trigger congressional investigations. Just to hear him say/show/prove on the record that there was no undo influence in the matter. Because it it reaching that point of non-believably with his own party outside of those who get their spin handed to them on how to think about it.

Which is why first thing Monday morning when he heads to the White House the story is broke... What threw it all into confusion is him still being on the job in the afternoon.. So the explanation is given... Trump asked him to wait until he gets back into town so they could discuss it 1 on 1...
