I just watched the NY Times reporter who did the story being interviewed by Shepard Smith.

And Smith actually asked the question that I pointed out. He asked the reporter: "How did you and a group of reporters come to these conclusions, and yet the IRS NEVER flagged any of it"

Boom.

The NY Times reporter who did the story explained that the IRS only looks at each individual year. But THEY looked at a period of a few years and decided that it was a "pattern".

What a joke.

Ahaha both the state of NY and the city will be going after Trump for tax evasion...

"It’s clear to me that there are real ramifications right now to what has been disclosed, either potential violations of law, or in cases where the statute of limitations has ended that there may be very serious civil penalties that can be applied by both the state and the city,” de Blasio said

“The city of New York is looking to recoup any money that Donald Trump owes the people of New York City, period," he added

Maybe Robbie can write 5 more paragraphs defending Trump for tax evasion....

live by the sword die by the sword.

no wonder trump had to cling to the "my father gave me a small loan" story, it hid the decades and decades of tax evasion.

I'm not shocked the trump family crime syndicate dug it roots beginning back in the 40s

Hi Robbie,

Forget what Shep said. Read the article yourself and then see if you still feel the same way. Don't let anyone, even me or Rachel Maddow or Shep Smith give you the only bits and pieces of it.

(Warning though, it's freakin' long. Like, really freakin' long).

It's not postering, Lo. It's the New York Tax Authorities. Trump Taxes: Bombshell Report Attracts New York Authorities''' Attention | Fortune

But again...it doesn't matter what the article says...the reality is the IRS doesn't fuck around.
IF Trump were cheating on his taxes they would catch him. If they did, then he was fined.

The morons at the NY Times do not have more knowledge of taxes than the actual Internal Revenue Service.

That's the point I'm trying to make to you. A group of "reporters" who don't bother reporting real news comes to conclusions from looking at old tax returns.
Hello...that has zero credibility.

And I wasn't listening to Shep or Rachel. I was listening to the answer that the actual reporter who wrote the piece gave.
It can't get any clearer than that Mark.

Trust me...the IRS is a feared agency in this country. Hell, they took down freakin' Al Capone over taxes.
Trump (like all super wealthy people) has been watched like a hawk by the IRS for decades.

You see, the government ALREADY knows Trump's finances.
The ones who don't know them? The rest of the world...including Senators and Representatives of the House.
And of course a bunch of people on a porn forum.

There is a reason for that.
Your tax returns are personal. It's nobody's business.

BUT...if the IRS sees that you are getting money from a foreign country that looks shady? They are all over you.

You can't even get a bank account these days in the USA without sitting down and going into detail all of your finances. And then if you pull out too much money from your account...the bank reports it to the IRS. If you pay for ANYTHING with cash that is a large amount...you get reported to the IRS.

And IF you commit "tax fraud"??? You go to jail. The IRS doesn't need the NY Times to tell them what they already know. That's why the whole story is so dumb.

Bottom line: The IRS already has every tax return of Donald Trump and Fred Trump's lives.
The NY Times is fishing (as usual).

It's a disgrace.

The guy has been investigated by a group of Anti-Trump activists in the Mueller team for almost 2 years.
Every media outlet is working overtime to find out anything they can.

Still nothing.

As for "one tax cut". That one tax cut is responsible for improving the lives of millions of Americans and made our country competitive again. Corporations are repatriating trillions of dollars back to us.

Hell, Bill Clinton actually raped women...and was still a great President.
He probably should have gone to jail, but the media and Democrats are hypocritical in every way.

I really don't care if Donald Trump was smart enough to get super rich. Matter of fact...I admire that.
All I really care about is his economic strategy. That's what I voted for.

When you say "Still nothing" you mean "other than all of the people who have either plead guilty and was found guilty of felonies", right?

This investigation is just starting. Watergate (and Whitewater) took six years each. This is also the first investigation - There will be others as well.

And you also know they will have to look into Trump's finances. They will have to. We already know there is a lot of money passing hands between Trump and "odd characters", some of which have a Russian background. We also know Trump sold one of his houses to a Russian at a BIGLY profit. They also have Trump's chief accountant working with the Mueller investigation.

I can't wait to see how this ends.

Racists let their leaders get away with anything without question.

beerptrol 10-07-2018 08:57 AM

Next he's going to rally the white males by saying they are under attack by the IRS/state A.G. and they can find anything wrong with their tax returns and prosecute them. He's a victim of the IRS/Tax Laws and they are too.

anything to protect his criminal ass

poncabare 10-07-2018 10:28 AM

Credible cnn is your source? Lol

Robbie 10-07-2018 10:42 AM

Again...the IRS never flagged those tax returns.

And smart people being aggressive with keeping their own money isn't "news" to anyone...except anti-Trump people, and people that don't really pay taxes anyway.

If you are one of the people like me who own your own business...then you KNOW what it's like to write a big quarterly check to the IRS.
And you take full advantage of tax laws to reduce your losses.

SIK 10-07-2018 12:39 PM

Media bias is beyond insane and it is also noticeable that they are running out of narratives.

Last one I've been reading is about Melania in Africa - they claim that she is sending a "racist and colonialist message with her outfit choices", mostly based on ONE of the hats she wore during a safari.

Robbie 10-07-2018 02:36 PM

And now this is a front page story on CNN:
https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/07/media...aig/index.html

LOL!

Instead of reporting real news...the NY Times has an entire "tax team" of reporters dedicated to doing nothing but trashing Trump.

Unreal.

Fox News was dedicating to trashing Obama for 8 years and you licked it up daily!

I'm anti Trump and a business owner and I agree you about legally having as little tax liability as possible.

Yet again your belief in narrow minded stereotypes proves wrong.
