If anyone thinks those arms sales are a reason to look the other way...
Keep in mind that the mess those arms make, will require your tax dollars to clean-up in one form or another.

That's if they don't end up in the hands of someone fighting directly against our interest.
Funny that not many see past the moment.
Saudi's are currently working against your energy interest in co-operation with Russia.

You only get what you pay for and sometimes you pay dearly without knowing it.
So... wish away cause your paying for it anyway. You might as well feel good about it.
Smile, there is Vaseline !

just try to remember this when they come to cut your social security.
But they will only be cutting the benefits, not the tax collection for it.

The profits for the sale go to CEO, Board and the shareholders but the bill for it comes to the American people. Lots of interest and none of it represents you.

dyna mo 10-18-2018 02:18 AM

Trump inflated the amount of the arms deal, it's actually a fraction of 115$ billion.

He inflates everything, whether its financial or otherwise. He forgets that inflated numbers can be fact-checked by the media and Stormy Daniels.

He knows his base will believe him and not fact check him. Any facts printed by the leftist media is fake news

During the campaign he boasted how he liked saudi arabia because the spent tens of millions buying properties from him. The news have been reporting that conflict of interest and he says it's fake news even when there's video of him saying it

Most of the world is "uncivilised". By that I mean they do not adhere to our, liberal, moderate, democrat, ethics, etc.

If you do business in China, Russia, Asia, Middle East, Africa, S. America, etc. People have to accept that these countries run to different standards than our Western standards. The false anger here is bullshit, because how many of will only take money from those countries?

That's right, none of you. So before you criticise Trump turn off all traffic, stop shooting, taking affiliates except from from the following. Europe, N. America, Australia, New Zealand. Now it's your income on the line maybe your tune will change.

I once heard an American Indian leader say that Americans are the new Indians, we are being stripped of our resources

"Muslim Brotherhood"

"In truth, Khashoggi never had much time for western-style pluralistic democracy. In the 1970s he joined the Muslim Brotherhood, which exists to rid the Islamic world of western influence. He was a political Islamist until the end, recently praising the Muslim Brotherhood in the Washington Post. He championed the ‘moderate’ Islamist opposition in Syria, whose crimes against humanity are a matter of record. Khashoggi frequently sugarcoated his Islamist beliefs with constant references to freedom and democracy. But he never hid that he was in favour of a Muslim Brotherhood arc throughout the Middle East. His recurring plea to bin Salman in his columns was to embrace not western-style democracy, but the rise of political Islam which the Arab Spring had inadvertently given rise to. "

....

"It was Yasin Aktay — a former MP for Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development party (AKP) — whom Khashoggi told his fiancée to call if he did not emerge from the consulate. The AKP is, in effect, the Turkish branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. His most trusted friend, then, was an adviser to President Erdogan, who is fast becoming known as the most vicious persecutor of journalists on earth. Khashoggi never meaningfully criticised Erdogan. So we ought not to see this as the assassination of a liberal reformer."

https://www.spectator.co.uk/2018/10/...mobster-state/

His friend, a prosecutor of journalists and close advisor to Erdogan is THE source of it all.... The "Muslim Brotherhood" arranged his "disappearance" to pin his "murder" on the Crown Prince.

I would differ from that...
They are being taken and sold. And Americans are doing it. It's the American Way !

But nobody takes anything that folks are not willing to let them take.
They just bitch about it as if that's going to do any good.
They are given reasons for it to argue among themselves and it works pretty good for them since their names never enter the argument.

See where complacency with your democracy has gotten us ?
Now you don't own it any more... the neo-capitalist do !
As long as you are fighting with yourselves about the cause, they maintain the pillage.
Such is life with blinders on.

Hitler’s Holocaust started with death of one journalist in 1932. Hitler called journalists “The Lying Press”. Trump has called journalists “The Lying Press” and “Enemies of the people”

Two weeks ago an American journalist had his fingers cut off one by one, then his arms were cut off, then his legs. All while he was alive. His head was then cut off by Saudi killers wearing headphones who listened to music while they butchered him.

Trump said: “Not an American citizen, none of our business” and “Saudi Prince denied it strongly. He is innocent”.

xxx6live 10-19-2018 04:06 PM

Well, they finally finished their report - it is official now.

bronco67 10-19-2018 04:23 PM

So the average intelligent person is supposed to believe that mild-mannered, small in stature journalist initiated a physical brawl with a 15 person hit squad who just happened to be waiting for him with a bone saw equipped forensic expert? Yeah...right. How fucking dumb do they think we are? Donald Trump will go with the story, that's for sure.

Trump supporters are pretty dumb and will believe the story.. Saudi prince will write trump a love letter and all will be forgiven(plus the letter will have some financial bribe for trump)

Interesting watching the alt right try to link the journalist to all the terrorist groups in order to smear him
Also interesting how they forgot that 15 of the terrorists that crashed the planes on 911 were Saudis. Where's WHP with his conspiracy thread, 15 terrorists and 15 hit squad

Asked Friday if he found the Saudi explanation for Khashoggi’s death “credible,” Trump responded: “I do, I do,

"The King, instead of disciplining Mohammed bin Salman in any way, has appointed him to be the head of the investigation,"

"A lot of the weapons purchases they [Saudis] make are for the purposes of buying influence. They don't really need some of these weapons. There're reports that they simply store some of them in warehouses because they don't know what to do with them," Jatras explained. "They are a form of bribe money in essence. And there are a lot of people in suburbs here [Washington DC] that do want that gravy train to come to an end."

"The US is not just supplying weapons, it is refueling the Saudi and UAE bomb planes in the middle of their bombing runs, providing target information, and it is providing diplomatic cover at the United Nations. The United States, together with Britain and France, have blocked UN Security Council resolutions for the ceasefire,"

VRPdommy 10-20-2018 07:54 AM

I think members of congress and leaders in other nations had already given this story substance while trump (mr isuzu) was golfing or campaigning. Otherwise he would be calling it FAKE NEWS and probably gotten away with it.
They way he talks, he has just fell short of asking folks to do the same to journalist here that he deems as evil and say work against the people.

Some contrast. He has no moral authority.
Better hope we don't end up in any NEW CONFLICTS. How would anyone take him serious to gain support for new military action in some other part of the world even if it were true. How would you know. The media provides FAKE NEWS according to him. Who would you trust... HIM? Mr Isuzu ...give me a break.

The only hope they have of brushing this under the rug is to delay and wait till some other headline swamps the news. Probably will and Perhaps from a tweet ? Don't laugh at that because it seems to work.

The only question is if the congress has enough brass to actually act.
Even while most all members of congress will admit that the Russians have and continue to meddle in our elections, they have done nothing but sit on any and all legislation.
Why ? because right now they feel it benefits them in re-election bids. And if the republicans maintain their majority, I doubt anything will be done about it. They are leaving it up to FB,Google,Twitter to do 'some' of the work and then criticize them when they do since most of them have paid for disinformation campaigns on social media.

So I really doubt congress has the brass to act... just make a lot of noise so they can look like they are doing their job which they are not..

you are right in that but there are red lines.

do you think the saudies would do that when someone else would be the POTUS?

someone who is not personally and business connected to them and not that much in their hands because of other mistakes he did (like iran embargo).

trump has made itself and america dependent on such rogue states and can't do anything.

any sanctions would risk his own business, that of his son, and the supply of required oil to the united states. and also the saudies know that and have now been able to eliminate the man without fearing reprisals because their position is stronger than that of trump.

trump is a blackmailable amateur mafiosi not able to play in the league of this guys.

pimpmaster9000 10-21-2018 05:55 AM

the newest version:

When Khashoggi raised his voice, the (15 man) team panicked. They moved to restrain him, placing him in a chokehold and covering his mouth, according to the government's account.

"They tried to prevent him from shouting but he died," the official said. “The intention was not to kill him."

he doesn't say that this has to be accepted but that it took place the way the saudies tell it. everyone who adds up 1+1 can know that the saudies lie and laugh their heads off about trumps tries to wash the saudies clean of everything.

everyone sold weapons to the suadies because they are supposed to be the guarantor for balance in gulf (although i can hardly imagine how it can be less balanced there).

germany put its weapons deliveries on ice after this incident. the usa continues to deliver diligently. but that's exactly the problem. without any noticeable consequences (for which trump is solely responsible), all journalists who don't fit into someones plan will soon be cut in pieces.

for trump and his followers this would be ok if that happens to the ones what are critical.

correct

and that's one reason more to rely on alternative energies than on dependency on polluting and limited resources that make us dependent on rogue states.

but trump´s companies are not involved in such business and therefore he simply does not like them.

Cheap oil is nice but America is energy independent

You know why we sit on our oil reserves and let the rest of the world deplete there's right?
