Just asking...

Its not.

But there was a time, not long ago, when the norms of international behaviour were not constantly being rewritten in a downward spiral.

There was a time, not long ago, when "annexing" of independent neighbouring countries in Europe was just not the done thing. This was last fashionable when Jack Boots and Lebensraum were all the rage.

There was a time, not long ago, when the leader of free world did not lick the arse of murderous dictators whilst pissing in the face of allies and partners.

Sanity may again prevail one day. Unfortunately I think it will get worse before it gets better.

:2 cents:

why not? because until he disappeared nobody had ever heard of him.
If it was kim kardashian America would be up in arms.
and the only reason cnn and msnbc are covering it is because it fits into the whole ‘trump vs the media’ narrative that america also doesn’t give a flying fuck about.

Ahhh this guy. Sat on gfy constantly defending bush and the iraq invasion until he was shamed away. What a putz.

No, we shouldn't care at all. We should let any country kill people who reside in the United States and work for American news companies.

Are you fucking kidding me? This man was living in the United States and was a journalist for an American news company. We should cut all military sales instantly, as well as all military support. Then we should bomb them back into the stone age and destroy every single piece of military equipment we ever sold them. While we are at it, we should bomb and destroy a few of their palaces.

Think I'm crazy? Think again. We need send a very strong message that this is unacceptable.

So the next Dexter episode gets even better. Apparently he was dismembered while still alive and his remains dissolved in acid.

To have an American president being complicit in the murder coverup of an American(for all intents and purposes) Journalist is way outside the bounds of acceptable behavior by a president. It makes it even worse to know he's compromised by his financial dealings with the Saudi Arabia (as he is with Russia). It doesn't take a world class detective to see what's happening here.

I would go a step further and start carpet bombing.

So you should only care because he lives in the US? damn that fucked up.

It's not like the Saudis haven't killed anyone before, not one shit was given then and nothing will be done now.. they'll set up a commission that will take about 5 years to come to any conclusion, and then people will have forgotten all about it.

This is quite possibly the most stupid and abhorrent thing you've ever said on here. And considering you say a lot of stupid shit, I just want to congratulate you on your progression.

Only way something will be done is if congress imposes sanctions. Chump will only do something if congress makes him. Saudi Arabia puts money directly in his pocket and he doesn't want to upset them

hjnet 10-17-2018 10:25 AM

The Al Sauds are too important for the US foreign policy, you need their oil, you & Israel need them as allied proxy against Iran and a $110 Billion weapons deal means a lot of jobs for the US.

So I fear those three reasons alone are valued higher as a journalists life, as unfair as that sounds...
