If someone wants to come to the United States, they must do so legally. Make it difficult - but not impossible - for someone to become a US citizen. You want them to jump through hoops. At the same time, we need to crack down on people who come here illegally, and also crack down on people who hire illegals. If a company has a track record of hiring people illegally, they need to be shut down completely. Anyone who gets arrested in the US for being here illegally should be thrown in prison for a minimum one year stay, with longer sentences every time they are caught. No one wants to be a border patrol officer. It's a crappy job, and you live and work in crappy border towns. It's also dangerous and boring. I am beginning to question the birth right issue too. It seems to me that some people are traveling to the US to have their baby ONLY so they will be American citizens. I'm not talking about people from South America.... I am talking about all countries. We have people coming from Europe to do have their children here, and that's wrong. |

It's 100% insane that in the USA we act like a backwards, lawless banana republic when it comes to illegal immigration and elections. |

Its either something you can prove. Or its just that you don't like what I say because you don't agree with Democrats/Liberals politically. But wouldn't that make you a Trump supporter? |

How many more people are needed and at what cost, to what effectiveness? When it comes to poor methods of slowing illegal migration the "boots on the ground" method is a proven failure. |

A campaign of strict enforcement of illegals employment rules decades ago with harsh fines or confiscation or prison would have stemmed illegal migration. Fines to meet the costs of finding companies, deporting illegals, then judging and fining the guilt companies, making the cost of doing the job nothing. But so Presidents have done little to nothing and even encouraged illegal migration by amnesty to illegals. Why do you think that is? |

At least there is one European that openly admits he wants the US to be just like China, the Soviet Union or Berlin. Did you look at those places throughout your life and think 'now that's how things should be!'? |

With Schengen agreement removing all border controls, once they get into the Schengen area they are free to march to whatever country they like. This usually turns out to be a country that will give them the most welfare. In Czech we have a shortage of low skilled workers because a lot of them have gone to nations with a better welfare system. We now get legal migrants from places outside the EU like Ukraine. So why don't those illegal migrants come here and when made to move up and leave to return to Germany? Constructing is a stupid idea. As the route is by sea. |

Funny as well that the "caravan" is almost entirely male, military age males, yet the mainstream media continues to push the fake narrative of innocent mothers and children for ratings.

It's a continuous effort to educate you and your continuous effort to completely ignore what people who fucking live here at the border know, and instead act like EU immigrants are the same as South American immigrants to the US, it's quite frustrating. We have 580 miles of border wall already, along our border, along the areas that immigrants cross. The rest is mostly terrain that's not traversable and too far out for immigrants to reach. Here is an interactive map to show you how much of our border has a wall. Click on it For the 1,000th time. We need more feet on the ground here and extensive electronic surveillance. These resources are MOBILE to compliment the 580 miles of wall we ALREADY HAVE. |

I know you hate facts. You really hate facts. The truth is that the entire "caravan" contains less than 5% women and children... but of course, idiots like you who are immune to facts have no interest in the truth. You only care about the narrative. |

The agriculture, construction, and food processing industries in this country lean heavily on illegal immigrant labor. I grew up in a small town that had a lot of farms nearby. My senior year of high school I worked at a small convenience store. During the spring and summer months we had what everyone referred to as "The Mexican Rush" at the store. Between 3-6pm every day we would get several buses full of migrant workers coming in from the fields. If the government actually put the hammer down on these industries they would be forced to hire Americans for these jobs and those people would want a hell of a lot more money so the cost of houses and food would go up. The presidents find themselves in a tough spot. If they go after these industries they will be accused of being anti-business/socialist. If they don't they are pro-illegal immigration. Most of them choose to strike a position that lands them in the area where they go after some groups of illegals, but they mostly turn a blind eye on the businesses that are providing them the very opportunity they are coming here to seek. |

I noticed you have nothing to say about the 500+ criminals - the human traffickers, wanted criminals, sex traffickers and gang bangers (including MS-13) that Mexico has already arrested and deported from the group? Were those all innocent women and children too? Do asylum seekers, fleeting violence to find refuge in another country do it by throwing rocks, attacking police, tearing down barricades, trashing cities, flying the flag of the nation they are fleeing etc etc? Of course not. Should "asylum seekers" who won't stand up for their own nation be expected to stand up for the USA as they proudly fly their own flag in a run at the border? Of course not. <patiently waits for evasive, emotional response> |
Ms-13... Another american export we try to blame on others.
For the record, I'm glad Mexico nabbed them. But it's a drop in the ocean. An honorable drop tho. |

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news...ont-need-wall/ Seem,s to say you're wrong. In the EU the big problem is African and Asian migrants. Tell me how they differ from Central American migrants. Other than colour. |
Just for the record, the Berlin wall was about keeping people from getting out, not getting in. Even though they officially of course claimed the opposite.
And without the mines, selfshoot devices and border patrol that shot people who tried to cross it, it would have been pretty pointless. |

Of course you did put a great case for the real reason for illegal migration. Keeping wages in all low skilled jobs low. Of course that argument doesn't hold water. Raising wages will produce more taxes, a better standard of living, reduce debt, ease housing. In crop harvesting a better solution is automation, in building this was a job that Americans were eager to do as it paid well, now not so. Farming is the strangest sector, without access to very cheap labour the option is to automate. Making human labour unnecessary. Australia has a very strict migration policy and does well farming. Food processing, did you mean working in a slaughter house? That can be done by legal migrants, which can be turned on and off to suit needs. Also it can stipulate who is allowed in. Workers only on a short term visa so any children born to those workers can return with their parents. |
