China is feeling the Heat, 3 years the old man did not talk to media until now....

https://si.wsj.net/public/resources/...0115032014.jpg

SHENZHEN, China—The founder and CEO of Huawei Technologies Co. said his company has never spied for the Chinese government—and never would—as he made a rare public appearance following the arrest of his daughter in Canada.

“No law requires any company in China to install mandatory back doors,” Ren Zhengfei said Tuesday. “I personally would never harm the interest of my customers and me and my company would not answer to such requests.”

Mr. Ren’s public comments at Huawei’s campus are his first in years and come as the telecom giant faces challenges on multiple fronts. His daughter, Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou, is fighting extradition to the U.S., where prosecutors accuse her of lying about the company’s business with Iran, Huawei has been blocked from several key markets and last week one of its employees was arrested in Poland and charged with espionage.

Mr. Ren didn’t say what specifically he would do to resist requests from the Chinese government. All companies doing business in China are required by law to hand over customer data to the government in cases that touch on national security. In China, national-security threats are broadly defined and can include speech critical of the Communist Party.

Mr. Ren said he missed his daughter, but was optimistic justice would prevail. Ms. Meng was arrested on Dec. 1 in Vancouver at the request of U.S. authorities. She denies the charges.

Huawei’s reclusive 74-year-old founder, a former army engineer, also praised President Trump as a “great president” and maintained Huawei is owned by its employees. The U.S. has raised concerns about Huawei’s ties to the Chinese state and that its telecom equipment could be used by Beijing to spy.

China has got to observe international patent laws, stop forcing companies to hand over patents and above all buy as much as it sells in US goods. To get America back on side. Tell me what the trade figure are in a year and two years time.

I have IP-s all over the world (not for hacking LOL)...

Huawei started competing against Nortel immediately with the stolen tech..and drove the out of business.

Is there any piece of shit you won't stick up for?

Robert Lloyd Schellenberg was given a 15-year jail term in November but, on Monday, a court said the sentence for drug smuggling was too lenient.

I am just asking for any reasonable proof...they obviously had the knowledge to hack nortel but they used a china IP?...I mean its like a pro thief dropping his wallet at the heist...furthermore, no evidence was found whatsoever...one man claims huawei did it...you can understand that I would like to see some actual link to huawei?

huawei starting to compete with nortel is not enough...did they use the exact same nortel tech? if so, how did they get away with selling nortel patents to the west?....sounds fishy IMO...

Nortel went belly up because of fraudulent financia\l manutentions ... I have quite a few friends that were there, from the assembly line to the management offices .
They lost most of their pension fund as well ... but it was the stock manipulation that caused the demise ...

They used the tech and sold on the world stage.
tens of thousands lost their jobs over this.
someone below is saying stock manipulation as well. Sure maybe, but it is well known that all their tech was stolen right form underneath their noses. And Huawei is the one that has their tech so.....

yes this was my question: IF huawei stole tech, HOW did they manage to sell in in such a large scale to western countries?...it is 100% clear that huawei can do in china as they wish, but HOW did they manage to sell in the EU and USA without nortel suing the living shit out of them? This would be an open and shut case for the courts...

you are avoiding my question...how did they get away with selling stolen IP to the west for 2 decades?...sounds awfully fishy that the company they stole from did not sue them and close down sales...

super simple question...

Shields admits he has no proof Huawei was behind the hacking of Nortel. He says there were system infiltrations coming from around the world, but any time information was downloaded, the hack came from China.

So basically their security sucked? Shame on china for doing an "NSA" on canada like americans do globally where ever possible...

But my question is: how did they steal canada tech and sell it to the west for 2 decades? Why did nortel not sue them and close any future deals and save itself? Super strange for them to just let it happen and do nothing? The stolen tech story sounds fishy...

U.S. charges China’s Huawei with bank fraud

The United States on Monday announced criminal charges against China’s Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, escalating a fight with the world’s biggest telecommunications equipment maker and coming days before trade talks between Washington and Beijing.

:food-smil02

pimpmaster9000 01-29-2019 07:08 AM

the charges against huawei are not really that serious...some huawei employees took some pics of a phone testing robot...also some huawei company did business with iran...

this opens the door wide wide open for china to arrest americans, the worlds #1 spies for anything at all really...not only in china but in countries surrounding china....the chargers do not have to be serious at all, just like in the huawei example and proof is optional...an arrest warrant is an arrest warrant and if china issues one, chances are high the other countries will honor it...no reason at all for china to not act like the USA...

meanwhile sales of US goods in china are dropping like a rock...
