As for people studying what you're doing, if your site has become a traffic magnet like you claim yours has then I can guarantee there's hundreds of very clued up people studying it right now. Tools like SpyFu, AHrefs etc don't exist because nobody is using them.

AHrefs is awesome :thumbsup

Everyone should take a moment to read old Bladeys (and his other nics) responses in this thread.. Holy shit what an absolute nutter!

It's like the guy has ants in his pants and he just can't help but to puke out this acid all over his own cock.

All joking aside, Bladewire - you need help :2 cents:

I also have to grab a few sponsor videos every now and then to update the db. This part is automated but I like to supervise it.

I would probably estimate I work like 1hour/week sometimes none.

Thanks , thats awesome , 1hour/week and site on autopilot , pulling 1m/day .,

do you get any DMCA requests ?

have you done any link-building ? like cheap/blackhat seo tactics ? (i am asking this because i did do some linkbuilding on one of my sites and it didnt get much traffic from google/)

is the domain .com or any other., because i always thought its harder to rank other tld than .com.

don't show your site here, people tend to copy those , whoever have shared their sites. and i have seen it before.,

good luck.

I get hit with a few false dmca, sometimes when I look at the lumen report, the original source is an amazon link...I just guess those were done by bots or competitors.

I do have my own pbn network that I use, but the domain has some links from way back in the day so it had pretty good DA when I bought it. SE success depends on the type of links that you get, I've not had any luck with spammy links but I knew a few who has even more traffic than me, who got lucky with a bunch of spam links. I stick to pbn links and I buy links from other porn sites that I discover. I don't trade links because that's a dead tactic imo and should never be used on a site before it gets good SE traffic.

Site is a .com but that doesn't matter because I've seen .video, .co and .mobi do HUGE traffic.

I will never share my site here, that would be stupid. I don't want to expose my pbn and haters here will report to google etc.

IKR, they are dying to see it so they can replicate it...it's funny that they think they can pressure me into showing them:1orglaugh...Not a chance in hell.

I get that warning too, guess it's time to upgrade to 360 or remove analytics all together

I use to make mad bank with spam linked domains.. I caught on to this network some years ago and every week I'd use a script to index and extract all of the domains on their sites. If they were still live it just took me to another gold mine. Many times a batch of names would already be available after running them. If not I kept them in a file that I would run during drop time. They never renewed anything. At first I'd buy everything they dropped but then moved into focusing on higher $ paying keywords. Hit the goldmine when they dumped all of their casino related names.. Luckily at the same time fabulous.com was a major player in casino domain parking so I just loaded them all on there to park and sat back watching the money roll in... This was also at the beginning of when registrars started allowing "tasting" of domains if you were doing real volume buying.. I'd park a batch for 4 days and if it didn't look like it was going to pay for itself it got dumped on day 5 for a credit back. Nothing but profit..

Those were the good days.. Once all of the registrars started doing drop catching, drop auctions and the drop sites came on the scene it was game over. The little desktop drop catchers couldn't compete.

My bff was the biggest expired domain spammer ever he made millions spamming google and I wish I would have done it. I spammed dmoz and sexkey and made $500 a day sending traffic to clickcash/ifriends early 00s.

Sabby 12-26-2018 02:41 AM

He says he doesn't host his own videos, that he uses elastic for indexing search, so it's relying on one or more of the big tubes for content. I guess that answers that question.

Yes, spent days tweaking my server setup and had some of my admin friends tune it plus go is stupendously fast, I used to use php and go is like 20x faster.

Yes, HEAVY caching...I hardly hit the db with the amount of caching that I do. Only user actions really hit the db, video info are almost always in cache.

This is the new server that I bought recently.

faaaaaaaaaak, i thought your site was in php, now you mentioned GO.

i know GO is fucking powerful language, i have one mainstream site rwitten in GO .

so what are you using for caching ? redis , memcache ? , files ?

Thanks

I stopped using redis because I would need 100GB of ram to cache everything that I cache now, I use file cache now...still fast and I can cache more things

do you use kibana ? to keep an eye on elasticsearch ?

how many searches your server can handle per second ?

I used it long ago when I was tuning my server, once everything was running good, I stopped using it. I don't monitor elastic anymore

SmutGiant 12-28-2018 12:45 PM

How many domains are in your PBN? How many with high authority links?

Is your tube domain a keyword domain or branded?

i see ovh has 500 mbps unemetred port n traffic., but would like to know this.,

how doies ovh handles DMCA ?, if anyone sends them ? they give youtime to take content off or just suspend the server ?

i always wanted to start CJ site. maybe next year.

thanks.

I self host thumbs
Sometime cloudflare tells me that they sent it to the host but ovh has never contacted me personally. Maybe if they receive tons of dmca requests they will contact the webmaster but they haven't contacted me yet.

Also how many documents are you storing in elastic? Because it's very surprising to me that you're managing 1m users per day off of 2 servers (one of which you say you don't even need).

I run high-traffic aggregators just like yours using just elastic as the backend fyi. So I've got some experience with what your numbers should look like.

And I'm not even really hating, just questioning some of the numbers and info. To respond to that with "you haters never fail to amuse me"...idk man

I mean 1m users a day would be something like alexa <4k not 15k. And with 10k users currently on site with average session duration 7m you'd expect closer to 2m visitors than 1.3. And then he says "i didn't know you can edit the HTML of an app" like he's never used "inspect element" before despite somehow running a unique self-coded script. And then says he uses mongo AND elastic for an aggregator, and that his elastic backend is supporting 1.3m users on a single server.

Is it hating to question when things don't add up?

Totally turned on right now.

It's easy enough to look at ads and link codes to trace the poster to find out their site.

What's the best way or how did you get all your videos online? With titles and descriptions? Any advice there? Did you do it yourself, manually?
