Was weird though, according to the email "As of October 4th, 2018 Total Server Solutions has acquired the assets of Certified Hosting. TSS welcomes Certified Hosting to the TSS family!". not a good or bad thing, just weird to announce something now that apparently occurred three months ago. Certified has been one of my favs the past few years to rec to friends with small businesses who need a small site with a reliable host who is patient and helpful with newbies to the net. Prompt, efficient assistance with billing (always fun when one lives in nations without postal codes), tech help when needed and a cpanel, which I find is the most intuitive system for those new to running their own sites. I used to host with them myself, but for the server I needed as my biz grew I found a better solution elsewhere that was more cost-effective. For shared though, Certified has been a top rec for me for years. I am slightly concerned about the future of Certified as them turning to crap would affect my friends and potentially ruin a good service like so many hosts before, but I'll hope for the best. Have heard of no complaints or difficulties since the Oct 4 takeover so I'll take that as a good sign TSS is not like EIG, I hope these changes don't prove me wrong |

well I have other servers at leaseweb so if ever needed I can move my sites quickly. I have been with nakedhosting since 1999 I think, before that I had put 3 DS1's into my house and had my servers there, naked is the only place I have had my main site other then my house. Hope all is well with them.

If like the thread starter we would have announced today that Tss had bought NN TODAY how many would have perceived this or taken it positively? This thread is a clear indicator that our top exces, and with Tony's knowledge experience of this industry (of course) know what they are doing. Instead we've gotten to know the who's, the what's and why's of what to takes to manage enterprise companies with in this industry. The strongest part of your post to me was "Have heard of no complaints, or difficulties since oct 4" As a host if you do your job correctly, no one should ever notice ….. |

don't know anyone successful who isn't consistently building, altering, shifting, testing strategies. I do think a more prompt announcement would have been a wise choice, as a strategy of keeping clients in the dark to prevent hysterical fainting spells of the vapors is kinda underestimating the client base, but in the long run, not gonna get my boxers in a twist over the delay in communication. but yeah, our hosts are important. as are hosts we rec to friends. sincere props for apparently doing it right in execution. keep it up =) |
Well... All I can say is that I haven't perceived a difference since Oct. We've put in many ticket requests since then and if you asked me if they had changed I would say, what? where? when? The same people as always still answer my tickets in record timing.

Logged into the TSS portal (make sure you use your email, not your NN username!) and am a bit underwhelmed. NN's portal was way more robust. The server graphs were more more detailed and interactive and it also included other useful info like HDD space, backup stats, domain lists, etc. TSS's server page is essentially just the b/w graph from Cacti and nothing more.
|
I've been with Richard's namechip for like 15 years, damn... No complaints. But, I also heard NN was one of the best along with Brad's Mojo.

I was not aware the TSS admin was still a work in progress per adding in other data and whatnot. Do you have an ETA as to how long Mynatnet will remain active? Oh, and please add 2FA. Mynatnet has it already. |
We cant see any of our old resolved tickets who got very usefull information in them, hope they will be inside soon

Hmm.. Well, first ticket after the switch to TSS. Easy stuff. NN would have had it done in 5 to 15 minutes tops. We are on day 2.
