Not sure what the displeasure was there, but would love to work together or at least have a friendly discussion about what maybe we can do for you?

We've kept all of thier employee's as well! So you will see the same names along with some new ones responding to our tickets!

No servers are being moved at all!

What does this mean for Certified Hosting? They were acquired by NationalNet and I'm hoping they would be folded into the great TSS infrastructure.

As I stated above, no servers are being moved at all! If we find any segments of business under preforming for TSS standards, we will be taking a closer look at it. If you have any further questions please submit a ticket, and your AM (account manager) or rep will shortly reply.

I know a lot of you have concerns, and I'm trying to address them as much as I can here, but Internal discussions should be just that, if you need direct support just follow via help desk, live chat, or phone....

Sorry for any confusion to anyone but I think maybe some of the mailouts went out of order or something because the first thing you should have received was an email from *ME* directly explaining everything. But, let me put some of you at ease real quick....First, the sale closed on October 4th so it is not new and I am still around :) Second, you guys are going to LOVE working with TSS. They even went out and hired Omar (yes, Fucking Omar...that Omar) to be their face in the community because they are excited about working with all of you!

For me, you will still see me around as they made that a part of the contract. They wanted to make sure that the transition was smooth...unlike so many in the past in this industry. I am available on an as needed basis and will be for the foreseeable future so feel free to hit me up if you need anything.

For the record, I get approached at least a few times a week from people wanting to buy NationalNet. I simply went from saying "hell no" to "how much?" LOL!! :)

As always, if you need me just drop an email to [email protected] and I will respond just like always.

Below is the email that everyone should have gotten first.....

Subject: Important Announcement from CEO Tony Morgan

Dear {your name},

For the last 21 years, NationalNet has had the incredible privilege of being your IT partner. We have enjoyed being by your side and participating in your growth, as you’ve relied on our IT solutions to enable you and your customers to evolve into the companies that you dreamed of becoming when you started your business. Like you, NationalNet has grown through the years and we appreciate that you have been an integral part of our family as we have reached our goals. Due to customers like you, NationalNet has gained a high level of visibility in the IT services market and has become a desirable candidate for larger IT services firms seeking to complement their growth and supplement their teams through acquisition. As a result, NationalNet has agreed to be purchased by Total Server Solutions.

Total Server Solutions has been in business for over a decade and has become a prominent global player in Managed IT services. With 25 physical locations globally and a robust solution suite, TSS enables its customers to easily scale, access, and manage IT workloads around the world securely and quickly through its many services. TSS has a strong foundation having been in business since 2005. With continued growth and success, they have been recognized numerous times, including recognition by Inc. Magazine’s list of the 5000 fastest growing privately held companies in America for the second year in a row. Additionally, Atlanta Business Chronicle gave TSS its 2018 Pacesetter award. Most recently, TSS’ CEO Gary Simat was awarded TiE’s 2018 Top Atlanta Entrepreneur for the Upper Middle Market.

This acquisition by TSS is great news for NationalNet customers. You will now have access to IaaS, DRaaS, Network Services, and more…on a global level. Additionally, TSS has over 100 employees (most of which are engineers) ready to provide you with outstanding support and service. As I made the decision to sell NationalNet, it was imperative that the vision, culture, and approach were aligned. TSS met or exceeded all of these, and most importantly, our philosophy around customer service and support. Our customers feel like family to us, and I am supremely confident that the TSS team will continue that high touch and intimate engagement that you’ve come to appreciate from us through the years. The team that has supported you through the years will remain in place, and the transition to TSS will be seamless for you.

You will be contacted in the next few days by your personal account manager. He or She will provide you their contact information, so you can reach them as needed. Additionally, they will likely schedule a few minutes with you to say hello and to engage you in a discussion about your business and your goals, so they may better assist you in the coming weeks and months.

You will also receive in the next week or two, communication from TSS regarding important information about portal access and support contact information

Thank you once again for your continued support. It has been a pleasure serving you through the years, and I am excited for you to experience the high level of support, knowledge, and collaboration the TSS team will bring to you, your team, and your customers.

Tony

Thanks Tony ! :thumbsup

Yeah, I got that email notice as well as I still have a few domains registered with them

Was weird though, according to the email "As of October 4th, 2018 Total Server Solutions has acquired the assets of Certified Hosting. TSS welcomes Certified Hosting to the TSS family!".

not a good or bad thing, just weird to announce something now that apparently occurred three months ago.

Certified has been one of my favs the past few years to rec to friends with small businesses who need a small site with a reliable host who is patient and helpful with newbies to the net. Prompt, efficient assistance with billing (always fun when one lives in nations without postal codes), tech help when needed and a cpanel, which I find is the most intuitive system for those new to running their own sites.

I used to host with them myself, but for the server I needed as my biz grew I found a better solution elsewhere that was more cost-effective. For shared though, Certified has been a top rec for me for years.

I am slightly concerned about the future of Certified as them turning to crap would affect my friends and potentially ruin a good service like so many hosts before, but I'll hope for the best. Have heard of no complaints or difficulties since the Oct 4 takeover so I'll take that as a good sign

TSS is not like EIG, I hope these changes don't prove me wrong

venus 01-08-2019 03:18 PM

well I have other servers at leaseweb so if ever needed I can move my sites quickly. I have been with nakedhosting since 1999 I think, before that I had put 3 DS1's into my house and had my servers there, naked is the only place I have had my main site other then my house. Hope all is well with them.

It may seem strange to many of the people in this industry, but let me ask. When was the last time we took change positively? I don't remember of one? and I've been in adult since 01/02...

If like the thread starter we would have announced today that Tss had bought NN TODAY how many would have perceived this or taken it positively? This thread is a clear indicator that our top exces, and with Tony's knowledge experience of this industry (of course) know what they are doing. Instead we've gotten to know the who's, the what's and why's of what to takes to manage enterprise companies with in this industry.

The strongest part of your post to me was "Have heard of no complaints, or difficulties since oct 4" As a host if you do your job correctly, no one should ever notice …..

can't speak for anyone but me but I like change and actively pursue it. provided it's not change for the sake of change but something that actually works (ahem microsoft)

don't know anyone successful who isn't consistently building, altering, shifting, testing strategies.

I do think a more prompt announcement would have been a wise choice, as a strategy of keeping clients in the dark to prevent hysterical fainting spells of the vapors is kinda underestimating the client base, but in the long run, not gonna get my boxers in a twist over the delay in communication.

but yeah, our hosts are important. as are hosts we rec to friends. sincere props for apparently doing it right in execution. keep it up =)

PornDiscounts-V 01-08-2019 06:17 PM

Well... All I can say is that I haven't perceived a difference since Oct. We've put in many ticket requests since then and if you asked me if they had changed I would say, what? where? when? The same people as always still answer my tickets in record timing.

As someone whose been with National Net since the beginning of the century my major concern is: Will we still get National Net cards at Christmas?

But I am glad that this is a standard practice and it will work in about 1h45min

User's are already logging in, and submitting tickets.

For those that haven't received this tutorial. Maybe this can help, if you're finding it a little tough to navigate... :thumbsup

During the migration we prevented NN users from logging in which gave them a generic username / password error instead of informing them specifically why they couldn't log in. Many of you tried to reset your password's. Although your login credentials should still be valid because we were blocking their authentication, but if they did manage to reset their password. All they would have to do is follow the instructions in the email and they'll be back in.

ZENRA 02-01-2019 01:20 PM

Logged into the TSS portal (make sure you use your email, not your NN username!) and am a bit underwhelmed. NN's portal was way more robust. The server graphs were more more detailed and interactive and it also included other useful info like HDD space, backup stats, domain lists, etc. TSS's server page is essentially just the b/w graph from Cacti and nothing more.

Sid70 02-01-2019 01:37 PM

I've been with Richard's namechip for like 15 years, damn... No complaints. But, I also heard NN was one of the best along with Brad's Mojo.

Yeah thats pretty crappy, at the old system I could get a list of domains & IPs with 2 clicks..

Data is still pulling over and we'll open up the rest of the stats/features and DNS to everyone shortly you will in fact have more control than you've ever had. Today is just day-0 of the migration over. Your server specs, cpu, ram, disk will actually all be there and backups... they could NEVER* see backups before according to the person who designed Mynatnet.

Paul&John 02-02-2019 02:20 AM

Sounds good!
