You need a lot of agents to secure a mansion like Roger stones. Common sense that non idiots can understand.

So once again it's people on the right who are about common sense and not wasting money.

You guys crack me up tho :1orglaugh

Prosecutors draft indictments and litigate in court on behalf of The People. The FBI decides on how many people and what hardware is required in an arrest.

This was a "knock and announce" warrant service, not a no-knock arrest warrant. This plus the fact that they were FBI agents and not Seal Team 6. Stone is lying, like Trump does.

The reason they went and got him instead of asking him to come in is because he's a flight risk, and or concerns that he may have destroyed evidence.

While to you it may seem overkill to go and get a 60 year old man like this, but think about it carefully: He has alot to lose. He could go crazy, turn a gun on the FBI or on himself or his family. Getting him the way the FBI did was the right thing to do, considering his crimes, and considering his wealth.

I wonder if he has a Donald Trump tramp stamp?

Rochard 01-29-2019 03:15 PM

This shouldn't even be a discussion. They could have just arranged to have him arrested at his attorney's office. However, this wasn't an arrest; It was an arrest and a raid. They wanted to arrest Stone AND search his residence. (Both of them.) So.... a standard arrest wouldn't have accomplished their goal.

Magatts deny, deflect & lie, when they're not busy posting conspiracy theories ad nauseam.

Their reaction to Stone being arrested is a sample of what we'll see when Trump Jr. is indicted.

They've had 2 years to absorb the truth and act stunned when reality slaps them across the face with a tire iron.

False and false. He is NOT a flight risk. That's why the judge let him make bail with no money- because he's not a flight risk. And there was no evidence to destroy- they already have everything. Not only that but the NSA really does have every phone call, text, email, twitter message, whatever- they have it all. This is a political stunt to paint him as a criminal.

His crimes? The accusation is that he testified to Congress and said something that wasn't accurate. Oh no, call SWAT! LOL. And his wealth? What are you talking about? He's broke from all the frivolous lawsuits. Your [fake] news sources are lying to you.

If I recall correctly... There was two helicopters of Navy Seals were launched in the raid. I couldn't find exact numbers, but let's just assume two pilots per helio and six Seals per helio. That's fourteen people. Wasn't there a second group of helios for backup? So that is now 28 people. There was also US military jets flying to protect them, and multiple C130s involved.... Let's say four jets (four pilots) plus two C130s and their staff.... We are talking about forty or fifty people in the air that day alone in support of that raid. That doesn't include any of the people who helped in the training and planning for the raid, or the people on the ground in support of the mission the day of.

So, no, more FBI agents were not used in the early morning raid on Stone.

Fuck him. The FBI raided his house. And a second location too if I recall. This was a raid. Arresting Stone was only part of the raid; The other part was searching his residence and collecting whatever documents and computer gear they needed. So they needed boots on the ground to make it happen.

Not caring. He lied to the FBI. He might have committed treason. Fuck him. He is going to prison.

With out looking it up, I think it was 3 choppers in the bin Laden raid because 1 chopper clipped a wall while landing and it crashed but no one was seriously injured.

FBI considered him a flight risk. They handled him with tender loving care, and they got him. They know more than you do honeybunch.

It's a pretty common thing news orgs do. Huffington post has people staking out the DC district court and they file freedom of information requests on every single docket.

That's how they caught wind of the secrect court case that's still going on which Muller's team is after some "un-named" company.

That's how they have been on top of a lot of stories. Now just think, it's not just one news group doing this stuff, its lots of them and you can bet they are covering any court house that might be related to any of the key figures in all this.

This is what invesigaton journalists do..

THe more relevant point, is that if it was felt that such a massive force was needed, why was a film crew allowed to endanger the operation by being present at all or allowed to put themselves at risk of the threat that required boats, helicopters and 29 FBI tac ops agents.

FBI, Marshals and local trained police units take down hardcore murderers, serial killing cartel members and international arms dealers with less than 1/2 the hardware and manpower and of course are never stupid to have a film production crew standing right outside the property they are raiding for what should seem to be quite obvious reasons.

Stone knew the Feds were coming for him it was just a matter of when, any news media was the same.

I'm sure Stone had some fun on the phone knowing they were listening in, and I'd guess that's why so many went in.
