The reason Trump won was the Dems came up with the worse candidate possible and look like repeating that in 2020.

Bill Clinton was paying down the deficit, if Bush jr had kept Clinton's plan in place it would be paid off now.

Instead Bush jr came into office and took the surplus budget that Clinton created to pay off the deficit and gave it away in tax cuts.

Bush Jr then went on to spend US into oblivion and helped crash the economy which Obama was then left with to try and fix.

Obama grew the economy again and Trump comes right into gives tax cuts and is spending us into oblivion again..

No single president can ever do it alone. It wasn't created by a single one.. yet as I gave you example Clinton made big strides to paying it off then Bush wiped it all away..

It wasn't technically a surplus because the deficit wasnt paid off but it's not a out of place term. If you consider less was being borrowed from the year before then that is what I mean by surplus..

The simple fact is if Bush had stuck to Clinton's plan we would not have a deficit right now or at worst it would be minimal.

Meaning for all intents and purposes the deficit we have now is because of Bush. Being he choose not to continue paying it down but instead to give tax cuts that fucked the economy and once again doubled the deficit.

Obama was left holding the bag of what Bush fucked up. He did as good as anyone could have considering..

Now we have Trump who was handed a growing economy something that wasnt handed to Obama and then he trashes it..

The reason is simple, we've given away our manufacturing industries and this has led to more people relying on the governments for money and less money coming in.
