So as a minimum wage worker over the last 10 years here you'd have to make $100 more a month, each year, the last 10 years, in wages to keep up with just the rent increases. As a minimum wage worker you'd have to be making $1,000 more a month now to be living in the same apartment that you lived in 10 years ago.

The cost of living has increased a hell of a lot the last 10 years and wages have been stagnant.

Let's see, last time I worked for tips was bartending, this was around 1990 and I made about $400 a week in tips, I did better at tips than the big titted bartender I hired. Not everyone should do this, having a personality that people want to have serve them is needed, a lot of service people have no personality. I tip $20% for those I like and a lot less for those I don't like, my Thai bartender gets more than 20% and I get some free drinks from time to time from her. She makes enough to have her own place and she travels , she just came back from Europe. She probably has a sugar daddy , she just got a boob job. I drive a truck, easy work, see the country. I train others, at least until later this week when I sign the papers on a new Kenworth and become an owner operator. It didn't take money, it didn't take a long time, less than a year. Financially I have everything paid off, I'm going to do this till I retire. No more hustling to get work and finish it fast before I have to hustle again. I make damn good money and well it's fun, taking my wife on some of the trips.
