This is, unfortunately, a moot point. What you are talking about really does not, and can not ever exist. The idea of doing A then B followed by C etc as a step by step recipe for success just doesn't happen in real life - Otherwise everyone would be doing it and the richest people in the world would be the ones selling the system.

Those at the top got there over a long period of time, doing things that are not applicable now, due to tech advancements and build up personal long term relationships with other similar people over the long term. Besides the fact that any 'system' would take the follower a period of many years to replicate, trying to do something that was done first, say three years in your past, again in the same way 3 years into the future (When you reach that part of the 'plan' yourself) isn't going to work in the same way it did what would now be 6 or 7 years ago...

Sorry, I'm not being a downer, but just a realist. For example, I've posted on here before my life's story, where I started in adult at 8 years old and retired in my early 40s in 2013 but would anyone be able to copy what I did? No, impossible...

Yeah search is tragic...Moving to the new platform will fix most of the issues mentioned above and add a lot of new cool/useful functionalities.

far more effective to have upvoting, downvoting and thanking and incentives for correct behaviors.

reporting stuff just leaves you with a 1/2 dozen lunatics reporting every other thread each day... it does nothing at all to encourage the right behaviors and foster the right behaviors or to change the tone of a community

Rewards for longest thread and business post/thread of the week would go over well AND create valuable content. There are a few threads from this past week alone that provided me with some interesting ideas.

panos, free gear would be a cheap and easy way to start, plus get free exposure.

PM's are soooo extremely low amounts, and sucks having to clean house on them because sometimes knowing our history in chats/pm's helps for future.

The reason for these settings is because the board was getting hit with scripts all the time.

zenforo looks to have the same basic problem as gfy - no high thread management.

there's decades of valuable info here in these hallowed halls of gfy, but you can only find it by doing a search and then digging thru pages of threads.

its a basic problem of all boards and social networks. posts need to be curated and indexed.

maybe gfy is small enough now to test some real solutions.

It's only if you buy it as a SaaS or Subscription it cost $200 a month. The product is free if you run/install it yourself. It was the core product in most SIEM solutions I configured 7-8 years ago and keeps getting better and better.

Agreed. Any competent developer should be able to get Elasticsearch running on the server without much issue.
