question for an other affiliate program.

how long does it take to look into if a cheque was cashed or not?

i would figure an accounting department can have this sorted it out in a couple hours, let alone a couple days. not a couple months.

Tagir 11-22-2019 09:56 PM

Skype does not find! Not responding to mail!

Former madcheddar employee here. Let me help you and explain to everyone what is going on.

Who to contact as an affiliate:

contact [email protected]. He is the affiliate manager.
skype contact: live:james_24187

Why We Do Not Answer Messages:

If you sent a message via the NATS form, it will never get answered. Those emails aren't forwarded to us. They get buried in the NATS inbox that never gets looked at because there is nothing that tells us to pay attention

Why Your Payments Are Missing:

Most likely because you chose the cheque option. Switch to paxum if you can. Nobody in the business likes issuing cheques anymore. It's a pain in the ass, especially if your minimum payment is $100 or some low number. Frankly, most affiliate programs will ignore you for anything less than $500-$1000. The hassle of chasing down a missing $100 cheque, costs more than the payout.

Please don't blame James or whoever you talked to, if there is no followup to any initial responses like "I will look into it". Unless you are a big affiliate, resources are prioritized for more important things because it's still a growing operation.

Is Madcheddar Scamming Affiliates:

No. They don't withhold payments or ignore them. It's just a massive operation that grew from a small idea, into 6 sites in 5 years. Lots of people are working overtime and things get missed. I will apologize for missing things when I worked there.

Do Affiliate Programs Care About Threads Like These:

Honestly, no. It's not like 10 years ago when every employee created a GFY account.

Skype is sometime broken, resulting in dis-ability to find user. Get someone else to add that contact, and then share it to you as contact card. That is what i did when i had same issue.

The sad truth is, if your missing cheque isn't at least $1k+, they won't put the effort to follow up, and it's not the affiliate manager's fault. It goes to accounting, and the VP. If the affiliate manager keeps bugging accounting and VP on your behalf, they will likely be reprimanded silently.

If this sounds like your situation, I would advise dropping it, and promote another program. Madcheddar is not equipped to deal with small affiliates, hence why their program has been invite-only for 4+ years.

semnate 12-01-2019 09:31 AM

The cheque was for $280 and wasnt that long ago (just last year, which I have been getting the 'we are looking into it' response for 6 months). We have generated over $2,000 with them and hope to continue promoting their sites, but obviously would stop promoting them if we dont get paid.

semnate 12-02-2019 10:29 AM

Any suggestions on what we can do for affiliates who dont pay?

Harsh but true . . .

semnate 12-03-2019 08:57 AM

im curious to see if the next payment is actually going to come, just crosing the payment threshold now

semnate 12-04-2019 09:32 AM

i cant imagine what it would be like to be an affiliate support person with a company that doesnt pay

semnate 12-05-2019 10:06 AM

if i pull the links, im giving up on another $175 in my pending balance to be paid. maybe i pull links after hopefully receiving payment

semnate 12-06-2019 04:51 PM

first at least got a response, now im getting the silent treatment after asking their rep 'what would you recommend I do?'

semnate 12-08-2019 09:57 AM

question, do you think other affiliates see this post, and maybe would choose to not promote MadCheddar based on hearing stories of not paying?

Nope.. the ones that do get paid will keep on promoting and their program is closed for new affiliates so doesn't matter if they would lose potential new clients :1orglaugh

100% correct.

semnate 12-10-2019 09:26 AM

make sense, shitty, but makes sense

semnate 12-11-2019 09:37 AM

has anyone else had problems with them not paying in the past?

Nope, you seem to be the only one xD

semnate 12-12-2019 05:47 PM

i think it kinda makes it worse, that i am the one who has a missed payment. they make it seem like it was my fault that a cheque was mailed to an old address when it was their team who never approved the change.

semnate 12-14-2019 04:49 PM

again zero repsonse now in 9 days from their support when i asked if i should take down links

semnate 12-17-2019 09:07 AM

with great sites, its amazing that they are not paying. they should think of the long term revenue

semnate 12-19-2019 08:47 AM

just asked for assistance again today

semnate 12-22-2019 08:55 AM

sucks that i get the silent treatment now

Ramp 12-23-2019 03:02 PM

Forget about it, if they missed a payment, they won't pay that particular payment, but maybe they will do future payments.

I have two pending payments from 2018. Never paid, always used Paxum. They did pay some in 2019 (new ones), but these two old ones - no.

I was always told "they will look into it". Never did.

semnate 12-24-2019 07:38 AM

thanks for the feedback, Ramp, showing me that I am not the only one.

Fingers crossed I get the next payment to come shortly

semnate 12-26-2019 02:33 PM

hoping for a holidays response.

nope, nothing

semnate 12-29-2019 08:02 AM

Well at least other affiliates will know not to do biz with them.

it seems they don't accept new affiliates and those that get paid will just continue to promote them.
