I'm just considering the look (my taste)...
1) Ukraine 2) Russia 3) Slovakia 4) Czech Republic (my country) 5) Latvia |
Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia. In no particular order. The ones who happen to catch my eye and draw my attention will typically be from one of these countries.
Latvia women look like supermodels. But are puzzled when you compliment on their beauty. Because in their minds, they look no different than any other woman there (which is generally true). And blondes are so common in Latvia, they don't even turn heads. And since there's generally no or little welfare programs in these countries, women are very cautious about having reckless sex. If they get pregnant out of wedlock, with no one to take care of them, they (and their unfortunate babies) are shit out of luck. The idea of finding themselves in that situation terrifies them. I've heard it said, IDK if its true, than a good number of women in Eastern Europe will decide to remain virgins until marriage because of the fear of being a single mother. They don't want casual relationships. If you're not looking for a LTR with them, they're not interested in you. In Ukraine and Russia, women expect you to be alpha and to take charge. If not, don't bother wasting their time. You're a joke to them. This is a great thread, reading all the anecdotes about all these different countries and cultures. Just adding my :2 cents: |

i am shocked if someone doesn't take their shoes off when they enter my place. i cannot imagine someone wearing dirty shoes from outside and then walk into my living room or even bedroom |

In South and South East Asian countries it also concerns entering shops, businesses, restaurants, basically - most of the places. I like to be sarcastic when I smell nonsense, like "wonderful sanitary conditions" in USSR, that shocked German war criminals back then. Because everyone knows, that USSR had better living conditions for its citizens than 12- years-Reich. According to CyberSeo of course. |

Dude, have you ever been to Moscow? It's clean. It's a super mega duper clean. The NYC is a shithole in comparison to Moscow. Фу блядь. Вы ж реально в говне живете. |

then again i might one day travel to Russia and find out it's really the land of milk and honey with an above average standard of living and he was right all the time. Who knows. |

But maybe in June in St. Petersburg - the White Nights conference seems fun. Alternatively in Moscow in October. Besides that - I'm pretty sure I'd like Russia, met lots of great Russian people over the years already - and they'd probably laugh as well at your constant overselling... |

I'll be in both in the next few months - I'll take pictures. NYC is definitely worse than it was 10 years ago, when Bloomberg was a republican, in cleanliness. Peak cleanliness was probably 2004-2008. I haven't been to Moscow but I'm going there and Saint Petersburg soon.

Saint Petersburg is a Russian province. It's a capital of Vodka (everybody drinks there).
