You have to look at where demand comes from. It's no longer the nerd in the basement hodling BTC, it's some of the major players on Wall Street. When something gets the attention of the greed merchants it bares watching.

The Difference between Bear and Bare
Besides being the name of a big furry animal, bear functions as a verb. It means to tolerate, to carry something, or to endure. ... The verb bare means to reveal or open something to view.

Yep, the idiom is and always has been, "bears watching", as in, this "object or action can stand up to and potentially reward the scrutiny of required monitoring"

The Free Dictionary - bear watching

This thread bears watching. Are bears watching? There is barely any watching of bears that bares scrutiny.

And we're talking so much because we didn't buy BTC at $1 and retire to the south pacific

Close. My exitstrategy was lower, but it reached $18k before I managed to cash out (got $15k each in a private deal)... And a fair part of that was mined on a old ATI gpu back when the price was around a dollar.

I invested 45% of it in hydrogen tech (Nel and nikolai) and that is up +600 so far.... So things are good. A fews years from now it will be a lot more, and all of the profit goes to my new forrest foundation as donation(=No tax on the profit)

In five years I think most the value will be gone. Blockchain will stay, but bitcoin will have lost its value.

Sorry Ferus, you can't say that and not give a ballpark figure.

Bitcoin is what brings value to Blockchain. Blockchain alone is a slow as hell database. Bitcoin is a truly decentralized & immutable chain, can you name another?

(Remember, ETH had previous rollbacks and premined, centralized. Bcash has 51% attacks due to centralized mining and low hashrates, Ripple owns/will own more than 60% of all XRP, ALL altcoins have similar issues or risk)

If bitcoin reaches $1 million you won't be paying in USD :2 cents: <----2 satoshis

After a 40% runnup in a month you'd call a 3% correction a "crash"??

C'mon Nikki. Where's that long term thinking (not daily, hourly or minutely).

Zoom out ;)
