I had the Flu vaccine in november , and I felt chilly all night ... normal reaction.

If the methodology needs to be refined, then it's not yet ready for use on humans :thumbsup

No need to get one since I already had covid as well as my family and have a bunch of antibodies or am I missing out on something?

You think vaccine is made for covid????

No buddy COVID was made so that fucking idiots can go and get

Just give it a few years.

You should be fine for 6 months, unless your antibodies level is on zero . There is a test which tells you how many antibodies you have.

Yup, done that. So 3 weeks after I had it, the number was 9,96

That's an odd statement since millions of humans have gotten the shot and there have only been a few problems.

Natural antibodies from having had COVID do NOT work against some of the newer variants. I know this is the case with the South African variant, possibly others. SO… If one of the new variant starts making inroads where you live, try to get vaccinated since the antibodies created by the vaccine DO work against the new variants (so far).

What they're seeing is that the immune response from natural antibodies is rather limited unless you had a severe case of COVID. So eventually you'll want to get the vaccine to have better antibodies that work better. But for now at least you've got some protection.

Right.

The only thing is I rather take chances with another variant than getting a vaccine.

Thank you for letting those of us who want the vaccine get it faster.

Already vaccinated:

For work reasons, I had to get the flu vaccine a handful of times. Each time I ended up on my back sick as all hell for over a week and it was another week before I started to feel reasonably normal again.

So I decided that catching the flu was better than getting the shot.

I would rather contract covid than take the shot.

Plus these assholes are already saying that the shot "is only temporary."

So what the fuck??

If' it's not a permanent solution why bother with it at all?

My wife got it. It made her tired for three of four days. She gets the second shot next week.

Why should I bother?

They made it clear that even if you get the shot you'll still have to:

1. Wear a face mask.
2. Stay 6ft away from everyone

Plus they've said that you can still catch the virus.

So why Bother?

If you catch the virus, you could have long term health issues or death. Are you feeling lucky? At least a vaccine will keep you from getting the full monte.

I listened to an entire talk show in my car a couple of days ago. Basically the doctors were saying that I might have serious health issues as a result of the vaccine.

I get the opinion that it's best to just stay physically fit and stay away from the booze, smokes and other bad shit.

No offense but was that Dr. Curley, Dr. Larry and Dr. Moe? I haven't heard anything like that from the doctors I listen to. A number of physically fit healthy young people have died horrible deaths from this virus, why would you gamble with your life? The vaccines do not have the COVID-19 virus in them, not one of them. They are simply designed to trigger your immune system to produce the antibodies that actually defeat the virus. The only issues, so far, are allergic reactions and no more than with the flu shot. But if that's your choice, stay as safe as you can. The new variants are much easier to catch and the virus is constantly mutating. I prefer every edge I can get.

Never heard of those doctors and I'm just going to live my life like I always have.

So you do you and you I'll do me.

Cause truthfully, I don't give a shit about what other people think
