I started going back to the gym...7 PM to 9 PM daily and it's helping me. I do not talk to anyone at gym, but being with a group helps.

How do you deal with this issue?

PS: I am thinking of getting a dog, never had a dog in my life, don't know if its a good or bad idea.

Honestly, I was never a webcamming guy. But this have changed, and I more or less got used to have my phone on speaker next to me or I use my little webcam on my monitor, and have a chat while I work with friends and family. This helps a bit.

I have two daughters and a wife, two dogs and a cat, live in a house with a garden, these all help.

For singles, far from family, locked in a small flat> this could be Terrible! :(

Dogs are great and they require socialization. You walk them several times a day for exercise and enjoy being outside. Find the local rescue organization and tell them that you can’t afford the vet. They can hook you up with an inexpensive vet. Pet shelters can provide you with food if you can’t afford it.

The pandemic has forced a lot of people into isolation. Find online forums for your hobbies or tv shows. Volunteer at the food bank.

Remember that you aren’t alone

wtf is that supposed to mean? Just because you haven't had anyone close to you die from this shit doesn't mean many haven't. Just because you don't have anyone at risk you need to worry about infecting doesn't mean the rest of us doesn't need to.

what a fucking selfish thing to say... If you aren't worried for yourself? Cool, i'm not worried about myself either, but I sure as fuck worry about infecting ONE person who is at risk. That's all it would take to put me in a far worse place than a bit of isolation symptoms would.

You can also Volunteer at your local food banks (this is what I do) or community centers. Become a big brother
https://www.bbbs.org/get-involved/

food banks where I live are very informal, someone will just cook food needed if given money or even better supplies so she doesn't have to source them herself. everything where I'm at is pretty much community driven. not unusual for peeps including me to just pick up some extra supplies at the general store for community purposes

too funny though, I can't even access your link cuz they apparently block Jamaica but back in TO many moons ago I was a big sister. the horror of me giving advice aside they were so much fun

3 of them now in university

always ways to help, and it helps the helper as well

WG

I try to get outside and walk for an hour each day.

Fresh air + Exercise + Sun/Vitamin D.

Plus, you might get to know some neighbors you might not otherwise.

I have a 4-year-old and a very needy cat in the house. Loneliness would be welcome for a bit.

Yes!!!

And I order my groceries online and they put it right in my car, I don't even have to get out.

I take cbd oil - its helps with my mood and I never have a bad day. You from USA? Then you got access to good weed.

You not tried cbd?

BTW gym is good.

Also one way of dealing with loneliness it to be happy being by yourself and then that way you have a strong foundation to then build on that and hopefully make some friends.

What about school, college or uni friends?

Why not get a girlfriend instead, might help, lots of apps.

Volunteering at food drives here involves unloading fruits and Veggies, bagging individual items so it's easy to distribute. There's no cooking involved. It's also a good place to make new friends because they usually have a humble heart.
