Now this is actually a fairly natural thing. I don't think it's right to date someone repulsive to get his money, but how morally sound is it for a girl to "fall in love head over heels" and marry someone who can't provide for a family, simultaneously leaving her future kids in poverty, or without a mom there as she'd need to work her ass off for them to survive and be out of the house most of the time? Neither of those sound very good, right? Isn't lady #2 selfish in choosing love over providing stability for the family she wants to create?
Natural selection has switched the idea of what's a good mate from someone strong and able to win in fights to someone capable of providing well for a family - and the woman who factors money into the equation of love isn't a golddigger - she's just being smart about what kind of life her kids will have, IMO.
