Bad news

I've got bad news. When I talked to him recently, he said he was very ill. Didn't he just die?

So, looking at your messages... ( https://gfy.com/search.php?searchid=283081 ) you created a new account just to talk shit about him and his script, whats the deal?

I kind of noticed that too :disgust

php

My friends! I had a lot of problems with roboscript (PHP version, with all plugins). Stripchat: no keyword filtering; Chaturbate: no stream; Flir4free: 404 error; bongacams: no keyword filtering; Camsoda: doesn't even start; Xlovecam: visible header and distractions; Cams.com: no keyword filter. Furthermore, "on-site registration" is false. It does not exist. This was confirmed, for example, by stripcash support. They said they did not give permission and opportunity for a third party to take control of the user registration.

Also, if you add a camera page to the list, all models will be included in the database, and if you do remove it, it will remain in the search box but give 404 errors. Chrome heavy ads solution # 3 only works for livejasmin and streamate. The Chimp rewriter also doesn't work. Believe me, old man, I dealt with him a lot, and Nick replied to all my tickets that I was right. And there are still a myriad of features that I didn’t even test because I didn’t even get there.

In my final desperation, I showed the script to some parent companies (e.g. Bonga, AWE, strip, etc.) who wrote that the script is "terrible" and full of outdated API queries.

Nick also admitted that even his own demo page had the same bugs as I tested it there.

With these, I turned to Nick, who wanted to help at first, promised everything, but kept nothing.

He later wrote that he was very ill. And as you can see, no one can reach it anymore. So what did you stress now? It's the truth.

Any updates on this?

PornGrowsOnTrees 03-17-2022 06:15 PM

Nope. Site still down and can't contact him through skype. :-(

:2 cents::2 cents:

I sent him an email to his Paxum mail address I sent several payments to in the past.
After 24 hours the mail bounced back.
Not a good sign.....

Also I sent another email to an alternative freemail address he gave me once, because he had issues with his mail server on that day, and I wasn´t willing to send my FTP details on Skype.
No response since 7 days....

MattGFY 03-18-2022 07:25 PM

Nick

I also had a good experience with Nick, and thought pretty highly of him. I thought he is a genius, and one hell of a great guy. I would always give him more money then he asked for, because I thought his prices were too cheap. I wasn't even using his script, and he went out of his way to help me fix things.

I was in talks with him around the time he went missing. I hadn't talked to him in over a year. I thought I made him mad. I wrote him this long detailed e-mail about a total rework of my site that I wanted him to do. I was ready to hand him 2-5k worth of work. He responded to get a hold of him on Monday, because he was busy with 3 custom work orders. That e-mail went to spam somehow, so I didn't see it. Then 9 days later he e-mailed wondering if I got his last e-mail. That's when I went to spam and found it. I e-mailed telling him I was sorry I missed his e-mail because it went to spam. I never heard back from him after that.

This kind of put me in a bind, because Nick was the only one I trusted, with my server, and my site. When your site makes 200k a year on auto pilot, it's hard to trust people with it.

I really hope Nick is ok! I hope I'm wrong, but it's starting to look like Nick shut her down. He was probably to the point he sold his script to most everyone, who was going to buy. The amount of time he had to invest in answering all e-mails, helping hundreds of customers fix problems. The little income from new script sales, wasn't worth all the time he lost. It sucks, and still hope I'm wrong, but I don't blame him if it's true.

brassmonkey 03-18-2022 07:45 PM

if he bailed i hope he released the code. fiddy where's w\my script?

It's really strange considering his excellent PHP V4 script was just recently released. Not being able to make new licenses is a real blow.

It does seem everything was deliberately shut down. If I dropped dead right now I would assume most of my online projects would stay running for some time. Until my estate shut off my credit cards or prepaid hosting ran out of time.

Anyways it was a great time while it lasted. Thanks for everything Nick.

Exactly! I have my hosting and domains on auto pay, with a credit card that's good for 6 years. I have a fully managed dedicated server. I did this purposely in case I die. My son will continue to get checks for years after, I assume. I need to do more though soon. Like write down all my information online, and give to my mom, in case I die. They can keep my shit going to collect money.

heiko0o 03-19-2022 05:53 AM

Shit. Hope you are fine nick.

blackmonsters 03-19-2022 07:06 AM

I don't think he would shut it down without making an announcement.

:2 cents:

TypeinNL 03-20-2022 10:04 PM

Maybe a restart of the roboscript project is possible down the road.

There must be some real problems with health or finance to abandon so suddenly all the code / work and list of clients like myself, always paying some extra money, because i understand reading emails / support work is also time consuming.

Nick if you read this. I hope everything is well or going to be alright. I know you have sold already a lot of scripts but i think a lot of additional money is to be earned with updated (charge for the updates) and custom work. If the support emails are to much maybe charge a additional $15 for every support question. People will pay if you say it is needed for continuing the project and you also need money to support a good life / health etc.

Does Nick have military experience?

The date is March 9. About a French Canadian sniper.

“Elite Canadian sniper joins Ukraine in fight against Russia. A week ago, I was still programming stuff,” he said. “Now I’m grabbing anti-tank missiles in a warehouse to kill real people. … That’s my reality right now.”

His script was unique. Big loss. Maybe Konrad can make a script in combination with Mechbunny. Or modify the already existing script, wp and php version, if that's allowed.

TurboB 03-21-2022 02:01 PM

All 4 sites hosted on same IP are down. Looks like the hosting was terminated.

We have the CBB MU plugin for wordpress, alrdy looking if we can modify certain things because it's heavy and want to take some things out.

We don't have the PHP standalone and we like to get one to look what we can do with that.
Someone?

bertto 03-21-2022 02:09 PM

Strange, if he wanted the sites back it was done on a new hosting within one or two days. He is sick of it all, or something bad happened and someone pulled the plug.

PornGrowsOnTrees 03-21-2022 02:59 PM

No word at all from him or on Skype. Hope Robo/Nick comes back and is ok.

I did a lot of work on my subdomain blog that is linking to my main site. If Nick never returns — I want every page to be in the same place and tags if Konrad or someone else re-creates the script. If not I'll be changing tons of links I entered in posts manually on my blog.

So far the script is running fine for me. I was hoping CherryTV would be added before Robo/Nick disappeared.

Hopefully he returns...

Holy Damage 03-21-2022 03:07 PM

yeah, I was thinking the same..... Konrad could write a new cam script

?? :error

You think anyone would buy a product if you have to pay $15 for every support question?
He simply should higher/double the price or his hourly rate!

And if he returns I hope he can complete the job or pay back my $2000 I still have credit with him.
Not sure if I would have trust in any future script, maybe I better hire someone else to get my API solution with all sponsor APIs integrated, build from scratch.

Sure, I´m a big fan, he knows that, and I hope he´s well,
but it´s not a nice style to vanish with peoples money....
I tried anything possible to get a hold of him.
Still I hope he´s well and coming back, damn!

Nick, even if we had slower progress on tasks, you always made me happy with the end result,
that´s why I decided to stay with you and kept sending you new task lists,
I really wish to find out what happened, I sent you emails to your Gmail address too.
I wish I could get a response from you dude!

Yeah, he's another genius we have around here. I started thinking Nick probably could of sold his script business to another programmer. Then I thought about the hundreds of e-mails he probably had to answer everyday, from lots of inexperienced, not very smart webmasters, like myself.:(

Thanks for the kind words :thumbsup

You guys are all kind of overestimating the support requirements here. Even a script like Mechbunny that's very widely used does not generate hundreds of emails a day and I would argue that we're exponentially more popular. Between all our customers we maybe get 3-4 tickets a day that are directly related to the script and not some customization requests, and most of them take a few minutes to respond to or are stuff like they can't get something working after a server move. I don't think he is or was getting hundreds of support emails a day.

Now, as for writing a script like this - It is something that has crossed my mind, however it's something i'd need to investigate the business case for. There's a handful of people in this thread - sure, but that's only a handful of licenses which probably wouldn't cover the costs to develop and support it. Given that all at once his servers, domain, and even phone number were disconnected it suggests more of an "irish exit" then him getting sick or dying. A phone company probably wouldn't disconnect his service that quickly.

If he did do an exit, then I would have to question if there is enough of a market to make a script like this lest I waste a bunch of time like I did with the TGP script I made. Not many people walk away from a good, functioning, profitable business.

Does anyone have a site running this that they could show me privately? What cam sites did it support?

TypeinNL 03-22-2022 01:30 AM

But will it be possible for someone with coding knowledge to update the script (on a individual basis) if there is a small fix needed? Like for a new api setting for getting the images from the cdn servers etc. I ques a rather small line of code somewhere in the script. A trustworthy person like k0nr4d is willing to help for $100 for example to adjust a small setting?

I can probably do something like that on an individual basis at a per hour rate, if the script is un-encoded - but I wouldn't be able to release patched files because I don't own the IP rights to the underlying code.

Some files use Ioncube. The order numbers show more than a handful of users.

My first order was below 400 on September 7, 2016
My last order was above 4740 on February 27. 2022

I sent two files with URL to your Mechbunny support page. It is first of all that the license continues to work. Maybe you can find out?

sandman! 03-22-2022 10:35 AM

Probably not too profitable if he just shut everything down.

Or he got sick and said fuck it.

Webster01 03-22-2022 02:21 PM

Yeah, if Konrad could create an API cam script, that would be the ultimate thing!

He could create the base, just with all the features RoboScript has.
Sure not for a price of $100.
But $300-500 I would pay for a finished product, like for the Mechbunny Tube Script.
Or even more, in the end it should be fair priced.

API integration could be charged individually as extra per API and additional
adjustments according the API content. Or as he like per hourly rate.

Same for template integrations and of course, extra custom features etc.....

If I would hire someone who would create a solution (base + custom stuff + few template and API integrations) from scratch I probably end up paying 6-8k for sure.
That´s a bit hard for me, also because I lost 2k with Dr. Robo I never will get back again, looks like...

Sure there are many peepz like me out there who would appreciate a Mechbunny solution and are willing to hire for template integrations and special mods.

Sly 03-22-2022 02:26 PM

Based on the last few conversations that I've had with him, I'm not sure that it was a profitability issue. I'm not saying I know the answer, but he had a few new things in the works that sounded exciting and I was working on a special project with him as well. He also had mentioned that client work was keeping him busy.

I hope he's okay. These circumstances are very strange.

How can you create the domain license?

l1llA6D 03-23-2022 12:18 PM

to test exactly that, I just need the original zip file to compare existing installation which license has one... I don't want to say more
