Yesterday MojoHost confirmed that I still have the same Domains and Sub Domains in place that I had had with Robo for my Cambuilder WLs.

At least the structure is in place.

With Robo, I had one Domain (SubDomain) for Men's cams, one for Women's and one for Trans.

An early clue for me that the software was doomed was with the link (dot) ac url shortener!

There are hundreds of posts like this, auto posts by Robo in my Robo account that ran on one of my Domains, still searchable on Twitter. But, they are useless, because link dot ac does not work.

never had that issue, been running roboscripts fine, and will do until the day it stops

So if you are still running Roboscripts, what are you doing about the defunct link dot ac??

I created a FTP user for Nick, and he installed it on my Server... and again when I moved servers from Germany to USA.

I showed it to him. I will review my email or Skype to see when that was.

Since several of you are speaking highly of Robo, even though I deleted mine a year or two ago, not long before Nick folded, I might be interested in setting it up again. Although I don't have any of the source files anymore on my main local hard drive.

I created the FTP user/pass, but if he ever did it, there's still the issue of dozens, if not hundreds of posts on Twit before he changed it on mine for future posts.

Yes I am aware of that, I need to update a file on your WP Cam plugin, it was changed in the next update which will be released in a few weeks.

But if you want to give me access to your WP admin for sites you wish me to update right away, you can create a user for me in WP users.

I must have deleted the files in 2021/2022.
Half of our support messages were email, others were Skype. It especially was the Skype messages that I got the clue that he never finished anything he said he would start out to do in terms of fixing bugs, or more importantly helping me actually utilizing the Scripps.

At the same time that I found Robo here on GFY, I found another one. And I did buy that one as well and the Seller did install it. I removed it also, when I deleted Robo.

With both, there were the problems with promoting models who actually were not online at the moment.

With Roboscript sites you where able to instant directing to the cam on the whitelabel, not first the cam in the script and then press the view cam button. Maybe i looked over it, but i can't find a setting for that in Mechbunny.
Roboscript has fixed add fields and using ajax to place another banner on mobile devices, for instance desktop 723x90 and on mobile 300x250 at the same spot.

I also noticed on the frontend that when you click on online models and then change change the language to another language, a lot of (Chaturbate) cams are offline and showing the grey CB logo because then the online selector falls back to all cams and not only online.

Newest version has a setting for that

I just checked in on an old roboscripts site I had left up running, which loads/displays the main page fine - however whenever I click on any models I get the white screen of death in wordpress

"There has been a critical error on this website."

Now, just out of pure curiosity how does one even debug this? I tried enabling debugging in wp-config.php and a few other things however I was never ever able to capture why I was getting this error.

Not really caring about fixing it, just thought would be nice to learn something from the above.

Updated/outdated plugins? Here Robo still runs fine, if you can get into the admin disable all plugins, look if it works again, then enable the plugins 1 by 1 en see what happens.

It breaks with the current Yoast version. As GoCastaway said disable all of your plugins and see what happens.

That is one yes, Yoast already breaks it for i think the 3 last versions. I noticed that direct after an update and replaced it with another SEO plugin.

Thanks! I was wondering more how to spot that via debugging? Since no matter what options I enabled I wasn't able to get any errors out of wordpress. I guess this is more of a general wordpress curiosity around debugging.

If you are sure it are not the plugins then it can be a lot of things, and then it will be difficult to find out what it is.

I would try to place a recent working backup back on the server and look if the error is gone, but then you must have such a backup.

Hi, its working (which is great) I'm just wondering how one 'debugs' wordpress generally, I haven't been able to get errors to appear to see what is going on under the hood if you understand.

I tried several things but not working :(

Long story short you can't because Stripchat has changed their API since Robo went silent.

We need to hire some PHP programmer.

I know the API changed, but it must be possible to place the new API in the Robo Stripchat aggregator code, only the question is how?

Since RoboScripts is gone, are you still getting the years-old version to work?

Still working with CB, even with the last WP update. You cannot install it anymore as a new site, i talk about the sites that where running before Robo went down.

I never used other sites on it, but now CB is going to shit the last month's i tried to activate Stripchat, but that is not working anymore because of the changed API.

I'm sure the changes are simple, but the code is encrypted with Ioncube.

Fortunately CB is till working.

We can decrypt the ioncube files. We decrypted version 4.34 because i have trashed the wrong versions a while ago by accident.

So now looking if someone still has the Robo wp-cam-builder 4.36 & pro-cam-mu 4.36 zip file?

Just gonna drop this here as a few people have asked us about it.

We haven't yet implemented the new Stripchat API on our software. They didn't include much data from their old API in their new one - probably 75% of the previous data is missing. It's missing hair colors, ethnicities, room subject, all that kind of stuff. I hit up my affiliate manager with my concerns and they are supposidely fixing it but I don't know when they will. I've been waiting about 2 months thus far. The old API is supposed to work until August if i'm not mistaken, so if they don't fix their API by then we'll implement what they have and call it a day.

To be honest I don't see the sense in the new API - they took something that worked and made it much worse. It's worse by every concievable metric. :2 cents:

I still have a few Robo sites running on both WP and PHP. As it stands now I would probably put the time into skinning Mechbunny rather than resurrecting Robo.

I have tried to emulate the Robo look with the MB sites I have set up and I have come pretty close. The only advantages Robo has is that it is easier to get a good turnkey look and as well it's easily possible to make it completely unique for SEO. Nick pus considerable time into this. In general Robo was more of a consumer level product.

There is no contest in terms of server load as MB is much better. I would like to see more skins and config options in MB but as it stands I would choose it over Robo.

Any clues as to Konrad's plans to move MB to php8?
