Quick comment ...

I had to look up Kommisar, to confirm its meaning.
From public perception, for sake of business, I do agree with the others that you may want to consider replacing the nickname and avatar.

Maybe you are Russian, who was living or born in Ukraine. It is in your best interest to keep a low profile, and do not openly advertise yourself as Russian. "Strangers" are very divided, and some are dangerously stupid. However when choosing your community, and the people you are going to socialize or do business with, do not hide who you are. Carefully choose to be around those people who are tolerant and in fact open minded right now, during this crisis, as to not hate all Russians.

Recently I was at a restaurant in California, with half the clients Russians and the other half Ukrainian. Here there was common support for one another. However in another group, a few older Russians living in the USA came out in support of Putin. They have a right to their opinion, but WTF. They are living fantastic life in the USA, and can be brainwashed by their choice of media, CNN, FOX, RussianTV, etc. And they without shame openly told everyone there position on the invasion. Very fast they became isolated small group. Honestly its good for everyone. No reason to hate, but I believe that you should only keep friends, family and business partners who have a similar opinion as your own.

Okay back to work!

Thanks everyone for the info, I'll take it into account. Regarding Mexico, it’s probably not worth it right now to fly so far for a long time, moreover, I doubt that it will be possible to get through to the embassy of our country there, and also at least get some kind accommodation there. Mexico is cool for Digital nomads but not for Ukrainian refugee IMO :)

As for people who do not understand what is happening, I do not see much sense for myself to explain something to them. Apparently their brain is already so leaked with poison that these are irreversible changes.

If you can work with your hands construction, installing solar panels etcetra. There are plenty of jobs now in Holland. Also ICT mustn't be a big problem, everyone speaks English and international orientated. And bars and restaurants also need all the help they can get. For now, when there is a crisis these alcohol business go bancrupt first. Housing is the problem.

And for sure i wouldn't let my family and children go alone to Europe, in a refugee camp with young Syrian and Afghan men and former IS military. I would have left also, not want to die for someone elses dreams or stupidity and political mess.

Mexico and Brazil are great if you work online of have capital to invest. I would make sure i was around the EU to be able to get EU residency first if i was with a family. But hurry, i think housing will be a problem in whole Europe soon. In Greece there are refugees in camps for years.

Manfap 04-05-2022 02:36 AM

Can you qualify as a refugee, when in theory you were not allowed to leave the country?

your concern is right, to be honest those ukraine ambassadors in europe are so encroaching , that as a ukraine male i would be afraid that one given day ,they send males back to the conflict zone in uniform......hower atm moment no western eu country is refusing male ukraines

Netherlands maybe Lelystad, Amersfoort, Hilversum, Zwolle or way North to leeuwarden most houses available. But you need the refugee route to get social housing within a few years, else you must rent in private sector (800 euro and more + 150 energy + 50 internet). If you are refugee and get a big social house you pay around 750 euro, but the government also pays around 250 for you if you dont make enough money. That would be the econmic best route for Holland, become jobless, social wellfare, get a cheap house. And than find work or start a company. Else you only qualify for expensive houses when you already have a job. Than you are working, but not making more money cause you have to pay for everything.

The longer you wait, the longer the waiting list. Cause everyone is looking for houses, when a house is for sale it is sold within 2 weeks. Social housing cost in amsterdam and other cities 5 - 20 years, except if you are refugee.. A refugee could with some luck get a house for 750 a month you would normally pay 1500 - 2500 or more in private sector in for example Hilversum. The government won't support you with the 750 euro rent when you have a good job, but 750 is better than 1500.. Also when you have a job you pay around 400 euro insurance for a family, on social welfare only 150.

Thanx for detailed information man, it will help a lot to make the final decision!

I was choosing my online identity and branding about 20 years ago.
Seems, that it's time to renew it ;)

OMG, I meant to post this in a different thread for Colin, as FB notification stated it was his birthday today.

Well in advance, Happy Birthday to you as well.

Sexier 04-06-2022 01:14 AM

Your best bet for now is to try and move to Czech and work online from there. Rent for an apartment in a small village around Prague is not expensive and government even helps you with that. I think they are giving 400 euro/ month for 3 months.

k0nr4d 04-06-2022 04:43 AM

Dunno how much truth there is in this but supposedly a law was introduced in UA that any male that left the country during war will face 5-10 years in prison if they return.

Yep. If they will return.

I was lucky enough to remain alive when the missile came to my home.

Should I test my fate again and give my life to the government, defending a home I don't have anymore?

If you're going to go to CZ, may as well stay in Poland really

Poland is the perfect option, but Czech is more adult-business oriented ;)

And they might even expect that you keep paying the mortgage of that house when you return.
CZ or Poland sounds easiest choice for the moment.
