Keep in mind that many countries survive on fish instead of meat and have dark haired kids - and I'm sure every midget or medium height person has eaten a healthy supply of eggs for breakfast. Myself - I ate meat - little fish - I ate cereal - little eggs - I'm over 6 foot with dark hair. My wife has had the same diet in her home (allergic to fish) and she's tall and dusty blonde hair... go figure.

Saying that, certain climates can pull recessive genes out and make them more prominent. Colder climates don't need darker skin tones for example, so up north people will be paler, this applies to hair colour as well.
