Well I am not sure i will take advice from someone who has a website that looks like it was made in 2001, with content that looks like was shot on a cheap mobile phone.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.. I know Unreal is free (ish). What I meant is that learning Unreal takes a lot of time (which translates in high prices for hiring devs). And this can't really be compared to AI (as in the OP post), since AI requires a good prompt to generate decent images in a few seconds. If you want quality ofc AI is still not there when compared to Unreal with experienced devs, but Unreal is also far away in terms of costs.

We shouldn't speak now.
There are people making 3d objects from prompts.
It's just may be a matter of time before we can generate this kind of content at lower costs

Sure. And there's also people working on generating entire movies out of prompts. Not quite there yet, but it's coming for sure.

But I did discuss repeatedly with the ppl from the local university how they should at least offer a "game dev freelancer 101" seminar on the basics of calculating your hourly rate, paying taxes etc

I don't produce anymore since 2017, occasionally I add new content if my time allows.

The store still pays all my bills easily though.
