We have multiple AI based tools for filmmakers. I don't need to promote them here.

No one needs millions of dollars to do what you're doing. That's just flat out bullshit.

Unlike you Garry, who's still posting videos of the wife he pimps out to strangers to make a living, I'm part of a team of indie filmmakers who've been developing AI tools for the last 2 years.

There's nothing Steve is doing here that you couldn't set up and do yourself. He's using freely available software and his own content as the model the software learns from.

My point was, unless this AI "thing a magic" can make lifelike videos, its just a hobby (and I already have a hobby), when it makes video then it will become a business for which I am willing to pay for or invest in :2 cents:

I was playing around with Indian girls for a couple minutes. I found a way to convert that shitty traffic finally (it's still not great) but it's working. I go for photorealism because my target audience isn't falling for it if it's obviously fake. I just need it to look real on a mobile device.

Getting results with AI is easy, but getting the results you want takes some practice and creative prompting. You can specify the lighting you want to use, the color, wavelength, the direction, use of reflectors, camera type, lens, shutter settings, etc. Most AIs understand this stuff very well.

I always laugh about porn photographers who worry too much about the lighting. One guy showed me a pic of a nasty looking model on a couch. He said, “We put a special light on that exercise ball in the background. See how well lit it is?”

I just can’t imagine a guy with his dick in his hand ever saying, “OMG! That’s the best lit ball in the background I’ve ever seen!”

An industry veteran becomes the first to make a serious stab at the AI porn market, and the thread quickly descends into a shit show. Sums up the adult industry.

But I think conversions are not that great at the moment for AI porn. It might take photorealistic VR porn videos for that, although when that does happen, the regular porn market will be as obsolete as vintage B&W photos.

Still it's a good idea to be one of the first to build a community and base for this. And I think the idea of niche studios training AI systems on their own models and images to cater for their market is the way to go. You could also use their 'personalities' to create interactive virtual girlfriends.

Deepfake.com is a great name, but I'm not sure it's a great idea to tie AI generated porn so closely to deepfake porn. Just increases the likelihood that legislators will decide to take the view that AI porn trained on real people is a form of non-consensual deepfake porn, however remote any resulting image is to any one individual. Of course, that wont be a problem for you if you are training your system on your own licensed content, which is perhaps your thinking.

Did you try to buy AIPorn.com or PornAI.com? I know that VRPorn.com was sold for peanuts. Sometimes amazing names go cheaply, as some of these 'future tech' names are bought by average domain investors with little real knowledge of their potential value.

It's funny that people love to masochistically talk about 20 years ago, the golden age, long gone, and don't realize we're entering into a platinum age now; 1995 on steroids.

Major companies will survive the AIpocalypse, like they did the Webocalypse, at least if they jump on it in time - I certainly remember Hustler and Private's sites (sex.se) in the mid 90s, and they could make a killing AIing their archives - but lots of new players will also rise.

Already most porn AIs out there are created by people with no connection with the adult industry - programmers exploiting an obvious AI use case and lack of competition - just as in the mid 90s people outside porn made sites with dirty pictures and counted wheelbarrows of dollar bills in the mail.

People who announce on Reddit and Hackernews and may have never heard of GFY are pulling in $200k/month within months of starting, more popular than most 'real' porn sites that people have spent years on, while 99% of "the industry" (seemingly everyone but the OP) is still asleep, though hopefully quietly working in the background.

I posted months ago that the way to make money with this is not AI porn but porn AIs, and that people with their own content/archives need to train AIs on it ASAP, but so far, months after non-adult people have been killing it, only one serious example has emerged from within adult, this one. (Very interesting final line in this post BTW. ;) )

(And serious this is: whatever 'deepfakes' is supposed to mean to redditors or Vice headline writers, to most people now 'fakes' of any kind mean AI generated, just as 20 years ago they meant Photoshopped.)

Porn (as we know it) is simply over. It's gone. It's not just shifting platforms or formats, actual production has changed forever and a completely new industry has emerged.

The only question is how many months or years it takes people to realize, accept and adapt. Forget 1999, it's 1995.

The AI names are six figures at least, and if you can get either of them for < $100k, do it, because they're seven figure names in the future. Everything to do with AIs is going to skyrocket in years to come, and the winners, as with most things, will be people who got in early.

I see pornai.com is listed for auction with a minimum of $10k, so it seems the seller has some idea of the value, maybe because AI is no longer future tech. Doesn't seem to mention a reserve but I doubt it's less than $100k. Possibly $50k if they need the money, but with enough bidders a 'reserve met' would FOMO it into six figures anyway.

aiporn.com sounds like a better name, but only if we forget AI porn is not where the money is, but porn AIs. Still a six figure name though, because you can easily still run AIs on that domain for people to make their own 'AI porn'.

Selling AIs another money making option that is far less hassle than running an AI on a server for other people to use.

People selling WP scripts now (with serious competition), need to get on creating and selling AIs (for image, text, chat) ASAP, or face oblivion.

Either way, the worst possible thing for anyone to do is the obvious thing: try to sell your own AI generated porn. Everyone has that idea and nobody is buying.

Funny, in all these posts I've made on this I've thought you guys are maybe the most likely to do this or already be working on it, because you seem pretty forward thinking and active in the industry, buying up sites, etc, than most others, and you have (ownership/licensing permitting) massive archives going back decades, which offers huge potential to train AIs on particular styles, content, era, 60s, 70s, 80s, have models from one era in another, etc etc.

(As long as by DIY you mean letting users create their own.)

Anyway, Stable Diffusion is the tech, and it's open source, available from Github. There's a lot of info online about NSFW, but you could probably do a lot worse than contact the Pornpen guy.

The guy created a $200k/month site from zilch, 9 months ago, so knows what he's doing, will have learned a lot about what to do and what not to do in the past few months, and seems pretty approachable and legit. Site was originally announced, and discussed a bit initially, on Hackernews. I just saw the subreddit for it yesterday though, actually, and he posts there.

He might be too busy with his own site to take on a project with you guys, but even if so may still have some good advice or people to use. Or he might like the challenge with 'real' licensed content of different styles/genres.

Or just buy him out. ;)

I'm not paying attention to any of them. I have my own plan that is currently about 30% done. Deepfake.com was launched 10 days ago, as an MVP. Already has features the others don't, including a built-in social network, and a real referral program run by someone who can be trusted that doesn't live in no-where-istan.
