People should demand a team viewer look at them changing account info before any money is changing hands. I still don't get why people pay 100% upfront when dealing with someone new.

I think this thread first got opened by one of the other nicks the OP used last week. Then the poster requested deletion if I recall correctly. And then somewhat later the same thread with somebody selling their account got opened. That should have been a red flag.

If nobody has dealt with the guy then they aren't going to have anything bad to say about them other than possibly noting the low post count. But that doesn't mean they think he is ok, they just don't have an opinion on it. I am in that crowd. I don't think you saw me or most others say anything good or bad about him.

Prior to you saying you were giving it a go, most of the posts were just asking questions regarding price and stats. That does not give a blessing of the feelings regarding the user. I think most of us expressed our opinion of the deal by not trying to get in on it.

how could someone be in 'good esteem' with 46 posts over 4 years, with a break between of 4 years before he came back to sling his supposed site for sale

I've written this before when someone got scammed, can't begin to recall even what year I posted it so will just repeat. before buying anything from someone online, do the following:

1. check post history. that's super easy to do by clicking on their username and then selecting 'Find More Posts by xxxx'


2. never pay a stranger to you completely up front. I think half and half is fair, AFTER doing due diligence

even the first time I hired someone to do some coding for me, whom I had an on-board long term connection with, HE was the one who suggested 50% up front, 50% at the end

he also sent me links to his LinkedIn and fb and several refs from people he worked with. without me even asking


3. be careful with those who direct you to pay via anon, non-refundable methods or press a hard sell

I'm guessing his xpreggo incarnation wrote something along the lines of "well, I've got a whole bunch of prospective buyers, so you gotta decide quickly"

a dude who got banned here for being a scammer wanted 1k to help me with a reinstall and update of a wp site (my coder doesn't do wp) and of course, via crypto

I politely declined and received a message back along the lines of "well, good luck when you lose everything"

I figured it out in an hour or so. he got banned for scamming a few months later


4. be careful of people who do not use a domain email when it comes to links or site sales. buy and sell here has some peeps trying to sell links on sites they don't even own


5. check post history in case point #1 wasn't enough. esp if they're mainly down in the buy and sell section. contact the peeps the member supposedly did deals with who are legit members (probs a lot of the so called 'great transaction!' stuff down there with unknowns is just the same dude with multiple accounts)


I'm not blaming you for what happened, you went into the transaction in good faith and got burned. that's wrong and unfair and someone stole from you

just next time, do your due diligence

Hmm... When I reported "scammers" (AlfaContent/AdultSexContent/payment middleman - hundreds of scenes without 2257!!!) to Klen with clear 100% proof (!) evidence - mail history and embarrassing Paypal dispute from the content sale, they didn´t got banned...

Honestly, banning them does not do a fuck aside for the victim to get some weird feeling of justice that bas been served. Other then that, they'll keep lurking around for a new opportunity, because now they've learned that 'crime' pays. They probably already have made 3 new accounts by now, using a VPN if their brain's are not totally rotten.

The only thing here to do, is be more vigilant when making deals, don't get scammed. This place is filled to the brim with people who would backstab one another for a measly dollar.

Everything was better when only the cool trustworthy people were online.

There's still a lot of cool honest people around.

Can do: 1/2 down, 1/2 on delivery. And try before you buy.

There are no magic pills to avoid scammers existing. If not this one another will come and take his place.

The only remedy is to be smart about it. Next time someone offers to sell you something unorthodox ask yourself "why does this person want to sell this item?"

Had you done that simple exercise you would have figured out pretty quickly it made no sense for anyone to sell an affiliate account with spenders.

Keeping an affiliate account takes no effort, has no risk and no cost. Why get rid of it? Why not keep it idefinately as long as the spender spends?

The only reason to sell something like this would be if the seller thought he could get more from a buyer than what he would get from the account. Maybe he had some key piece of info he isn't giving you. Something like... the spender is slowly decreasing his spending and he figured it will be close to zero soon. Maybe he did something fraudulent with the account and thinks he will get caught. Something along those lines.
