is that your blood glucose reading? a1c will be below 14, mine is 6.5 ish. did you ask your doc about going keto? now that i see you're on the ozempic for type 2, the 7 pound weight gain could be from a number of things.

We use a different scale here - I checked with ChatGPT and ---

Quote:

Short answer: 108 mmol/mol (NZ units) is roughly 12.0% HbA1c on the US (NGSP/DCCT) scale. That corresponds to an estimated average glucose ≈ 16.6 mmol/L (≈ 298 mg/dL).
So that's 12% on your scale with an average glucose of 16.6 - To use a technical term, fucking high!..

I never understood why people need drugs to influence their mind...for example eat less. If I want to lose weight, I simply eat less, I don't give a fuck if I am hungrier or not, its just basic control of your mind, nothing that hard really.

Addiction makes the world go' round . . . some are addicted to food, others to hunger, some others to health (whatever that may be).

There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says "Once on the 'zempic, always on the 'zempic".

I couldnt get ozempic cause its a type 2 med. But I was able to get wegovy which is ok for type 1. and yes I am heavily monitored by my endo

It works very well for most but does require some lifestyle change too!

Best product I have ever found for my nerve damage is Curamed curcumin gel caps.
I also take mother turmeric supplement with black pepper at the same time because there is no pepper included in the curamed.

Try protein drinks like Owyn protein drinks. I drank them a lot in the beginning.

If you are on these meds, do you eat the same amount, but your metabolism is boosted, or the meds make you eat less?

Mr Pheer 11-05-2025 06:47 PM

I tried that stuff and puked and shit my guts out. Sure lost some weight really fast.

:Oh crap

You need to switch to tirz or reta. I heard Reta is best if you want to keep muscle, but Tirz is better for food noise.

They all make me sick.

Where do you get it from?

The medication slows down everything in your gut so your food doesn't digest as fast (making you stay full longer) and really clogs up your gut. Many people have nutrition and bowel issues, and that's why they look terrible after being on it.

Protein and proper bowel movements are super important.

My daughter lost 50lbs between Ozempic and tirz with just bouts of side effects and constipation.

I have it here on my dresser - I have yet to take any of it due to fear of being sick. Every pep I have tried like this has made me hospital sick.

Reta seems good, but I'm still scared.

Have you had any side effects other than the usual constipation that everyone complains about? I never even made it that far.

I eat muuuch less than I ever did. Although i never really ate that much. I didnt always make the right food choices but I didnt make horrible ones. The easiests way to describe being on these meds is food isnt fun anymore. Nothing sounds appetizing and I can have the best food in the world in front of me and be full in 2 bites
