In evidence of your idiocy: you wouldn't have to deal with "china/brazil/russia". You would only have to deal with the university or business whose computer was compromised. It's pretty certain they weren't willingly allowing people to use their proxy servers for illegal activities which means they have also been violated which means they have no reason to not want to know who did it.
