Actually the 25k is in 10 days. Top 50 get $100 today and first place is like $2500 out of the ones that win today. So far I'm up there if I can stay awake. If I get in it for the big one I'm gonna stay in every hand on the lowest table they allow for that $2500.

Andy P 07-14-2003 03:03 AM

good luck :thumbsup

Varkonyi is also an amateur and, let's face it, winning last year was mostly a fluke. The luck thing helped him then and screwed him now. I saw his kings get raped and that was bad luck but it's like Brunson said, he never really had a chance.

You also can win a spot on the boat every Tues in there SuperSatelite Tourneys... Which are only $150 or you can play in the $10 satelites on the weekend to win a spot in the Tuesday tourney...

That's how I won my $9000 cruise package and seat in the PPM3!!!:)

The problem is, when you sit a table with seven other people and five of them are chasers, you get outdrawn a lot. In the long run, all the chasers will get fucked but they can really screw a game up for the people who know how to play.

SpaceAce

I love playing with Chasers, they NEVER screw a game for me. Yes, there are games that I loose because I got outdrawn so much but on average, these games are a sure win.

I just applaud them for being so "lucky" and try to keep them in the game.

Looks like he was on the big blind... Noone raise him and he got to see the flop for free. Flush draw on the flop.

SuperSatellites are all limit, not the $25 ones that get you to the Semis, but SuperSatelite on Tuesdays.

However, I prefer no limit!:)

If you are this good? Why not enter the World Series of Poker and win a million?

It would be cool if you admit your spamming, so we can all move on. I dont care if you spam but lying is stupid.

A. No matter how good you are you can't force the dealer to give you a royal flush. That is my first one.

B. The world series of poker is no limit. As you can see this is limit poker.

C. STFU asshat.

D. Lying about what exactly?

if you ever get on pokerstars.com let me know, we will battle a while ;)

Jeffery 07-14-2003 10:30 AM

I seem to post this on every poker thread and never get any takers...

With all the poker players in the industry, why don't we setup a poker game for Internext. It'd be fun to start throwing traffic / content / etc into the pot.

traffictrader 07-14-2003 11:01 AM

that list of money winners is old and busted...

Kathy Liebert has won over a million now.

And stock, as nice as a royal is, I think the BB hand looks better, there is nothing better than having rags in BB, not getting raised out, having the flop hit you over the head, and busting up a good hand. "Oh you didn't put me on the 2/7 off boat... that's too bad =)"

LOL @ river rats AKA calling stations:1orglaugh

If you're in a game where 4-5 people see the flop each hand, you can make some nice coin:thumbsup

Only because he was in the small blind. It would have been sheer buffoonery to play that from anywhere else. Even on the button 2-5s sucks. Really, 2-5s from the small blind isn't a good bet. Maybe 3-5s or 3-4s but a two-gap suited hand? I don't think I would ever play less than 4-3s unless I was working a nutty bluff.

That was a $30 table. Bluffs work there occasionally.

My mistake. You can play anything if it doesn't cost any additional money. Once in a while your're bound to catch a hand.
