Serge, bulk of my hosting has always been with T. But we have also always used a couple other companies as well.

Bottom line is that I put a stop payment on a check, for services you failed to render. This is the same account that I pay reputable hosts and webmasters millions of dollars a year out of.

I failed to render? haha boy you were running on my network for 45 days after your checks bounced ... it's ok don't tell me - tell the collection agency.

sextoyking 08-06-2003 10:03 PM

Serge,

I don't think you will end up in the poor house. I bet you have some pretty safe investments out there. I never have taken you as a fool :)

Hope you guys had a good trip..

Brad,
in ALL my dealings with Alex,
he ALWAYS been top notch,
from tech support to connectivity and I'd be more than delighted to help you guys to reach consensus on the matter of $9000...

no need for the good guys to bust each other chops...

Todd,
20% a year inflation will kill me...along with lots of other folks
;-)))

I see HUGE problems on the horizon if we continue to spend money around the globe,
the money we don't have.

2 years ago in Turkey,
I saw 1-2-5 lira coins dated 30 years ago..
today the pack of cigarets cost...
1,500,000 liras...

how many mils one should have to afford living 30 years from now if we hit this kind of inflation?

BradShaw 08-06-2003 10:08 PM

Alex, post the fucking check, prove me wrong and I will fed-ex you $18k.

I read the boards from time to time, but I spent the majority of my time fishing and with my fiancee and 2 weiner dogs! It is good to be back though, someone needs to keep fools in check and ruffle some feathers.

sextoyking 08-06-2003 10:10 PM

Serge,

when I was in turkey 2 years ago or so, a big mac meal was like 2 mil. liar or something like that.

Was watching kudlow and kramer (sp) on cnbc a few days ago, they were talking about inflation too, and saying they had worries themselves. also said Deflation would be a very bad thing.

Dunno, you and others are much better in economics then I am.

talk to the guys on Brighton Beach who do the driver licences in 3 hours....

for $2000 they will have you his check with ANYTHING you want...
;-))

not bad return on investment
;-)))

Captain 08-06-2003 10:11 PM

the problem in USA today is...

there is DEFLATION in corporate world which can't charge enough for their goods and services because Chinese do it cheaper,
and INFLATION on consumer level,
when you have to pay $8 for a pack of smokes...

corporations getting poorer, government getting poorer,
and me the consumer getting DOUBLE wammy...

BradShaw 08-06-2003 10:13 PM

Serge, the problem is he yaps that I bounced a check, which is simply not accurate and he knows it. By saying I bounce checks, he may have hurt my biz. (sy is looking into it)

I feel that he screwed me, wasted my time, did not render agreed services, and I put a stop payment on a check, simple. I think highlight of his life is that he did business with me.

Put up or shut up kid. You are whining about $9k bounced check, post the proof and I will pay you $18k. How much more simple could we get, or are you being disingenuous like you were on our hosting deal?

Brad,
I dunno about the laws of Texas, but here in NJ,
if you put stop payment on the check to contractor,
you are subject of arrest, and I saw some people in handcuffs taken out of their offices in the broad day light for putting stop payments to contractors..

have Sy check into Texas statues as well...

I'll hate to see you paraded in hand cuffs in front of your employees...

BradShaw 08-06-2003 10:19 PM

Brad,
NSF check is NOT a crime,
stop payment check IS
(at least in NJ)

NSF check would be better for your legal standing...

Like I said relax yourself, you know what I have and you are talking smack, see I will keep it simple for you, if you don't pay for services rendered to you then you have a little problem. You pay what you owe, the problem goes away. Next time Dun and Brad Street calls you trying to collect on your ass, pick up your check book and write a valid check.

BradShaw 08-06-2003 10:31 PM

Serge, I already checked into the laws of Texas, after all I live here;-) Sorry no cuffs for me.

The check must be deposited within 30 days from date of issuance. A check must be stamped or flagged by the bank, for reasons marked, "NSF", "Account Closed", or "No Account". We cannot take checks that are postdated, funds held, stop payment (for services), or refer to maker, as criminal cases, but you may file a case in Civil Court. A check filed in the Justice Court is filed as a Class ?C? misdemeanor: Issuance of Bad Check, or IBC. (Penal Code 32.41) Class C misdemeanors are punishable by fine only. Checks larger than $20.00 may be filed with the District Attorney?s office. Checks larger than $500.00 MUST be filed with the District Attorney?s office unless the check was written for rent. All rent checks must be filed criminally as an IBC. Checks marked ?Stop Payment? can be filed with the District Attorney?s office for theft (Penal Code 31.06).

On NSF checks you must send a registered or certified letter, with return receipt requested, to person who signed the check. The letter should be sent to the address on the check unless you have proof that the person has an updated address. The letter should identify the check, state why it was returned by the bank, and contain the following statement: "This is a demand for payment in full for a check or order not paid because of lack of funds or insufficient funds. If you fail to make payment in full within 10 day after the date of receipt of this notice, the failure to pay creates a presumption for committing an offense, and this matte may be referred for criminal prosecution." (Penal Code 32.41) The law only requires that the letter be mailed. If they refuse it or have moved leaving no forwarding address, a complaint may still be filed. If there is more than one check being submitted for the same person, and individual letter for each check must be mailed, along with each check number written on each individual green card. On checks stamped ?Account Closed,? no letter is required and the check may be filed immediately. Checks marked ?Stop Payment? can be filed with the District Attorney?s office for theft (Penal Code 31.06).

BTW Alex, I have yet to hear from D & B, but I am eagerly awaiting! Do they send neat plastic cuffs?
