FWIW - my take is this. I bought the traffic in good faith from a broker. To the best of my knowledge he also bought it in good faith from his source. It's clear that his source has ripped us both of. So the broker can say to me 'yep, we were both ripped, here's your money back'.

Now if that's the case, if I posted his name here, all I would be doing would be causing a lot of shit for someone who was an innocent party in this.

On the other hand, if anything happens that makes me think the actual broker has ripped me off, then I will be more than willing to name him here.

For the time being, I'm working on the basis of innocent until proven guilty

That's where some of the i-f-r-a-m-e'd 404s were being redirected to, when I loaded the URL (from the very first post) repeatedly. Looks like xratedhits has some very shady methods of generating his (your) traffic.....

Sorry about the misunderstanding. By proxy, I mean my local web proxy/cache - the one I run on my network to allow several computers to share a link. I wasn't intending to suggest that you were delivering proxy traffic. Those URLs were pulled directly from my proxy logs, I was watching them go by as I repeatedly reloaded the URL. I posted them here to show that xratedhits was delivering those hits to you, which then got sent to buyers. Here's how it happens:

1. Surfer loads page
2. Source includes two hidden i-f-r-a-m-e-s which are 404
3. xratedhits 404 handler redirects that i-f-r-a-m-e to adult-site-traffic
4. your site redirects to your buyer, appending ?AST to the deliver URL

I am a buying-traffic affiliate, but that's all... with regards to this issue, I'm purely an observer and/or commentator. :)

I'd be really interested to see what xratedhits has to say about all of this.

Please believe me when I say that the generation of the 404 traffic is not handled by me but by my hosting developer who has much experience in the adult website industry

One thing you're not understanding.

Rowan is an affiliate sending to a different program. His logs have nothing to do with this.

If the url's weren't in the i-f-rames and tagged /&AST it has nothing to do with this problem whatsoever.

So, until you know the facts, whether you're BigHugeSite.com or not, please control yourself. I'm taking damage here over something I have no knowledge of or control over. Posts like this and Rowan's logs aren't helping.

AST, I'll repeat again... this thread has nothing to do with my buying-traffic.com affiliate account. For all intents and purposes we can consider that closed; I haven't sent any traffic to that for a couple of weeks. :)

The URLs with "?AST" appended that I have pasted into this thread were generated solely from loading http://xxstory.sexushost.com/xxxfree/wuxia/s0938.htm through a standard Windows browser. I simply used my local proxy logs (on my LAN - nothing to do with your site, or any traffic brokering) to see the exact URLs that were 302'd inside the invisible i-f-r-a-m-e.

Here's an example.

which redirects to
http://chubby.com/defaultD.php?id=80...&url=nopop&AST

If you load http://www.sexushost.com/cgi-bin/404 a few times then you'll be directed to various URLs, presumably all paying buyers... nothing unusual there. However, remember that the 404 handler is loaded within an invisible i-f-r-a-m-e, so the surfer never sees the final content... unless the HTML contains frame breaking code.

I wasn't trying to throw any blame at you in particular, since it's obvious that regardless of whether xratedhits is an affiliate or wholesale seller, he is stiffing you. I only posted those URLs to prove that this traffic *is* associated with AST. It's unfortunate that his garbage has filtered out to paying buyers...

Rowan--are you saying those url's you list (who bought traffic) are not receiving it but just getting hit counts?
