Not on an academy award winning level, thats for sure. The paddle out after Vietnam, Leroy at the draft office. Never forget those scenes....I guess to me that is what makes it great. Movies that stay with you forever.

Quentin Tarantino is an overrated sack of shit who steals (stole) from Roger Avary. Roger wrote like 60%+ of all of quentin's good movies.

How can you like Snatch and not Lock Stock? Maybe it's cos I'm from the UK and there was a lot of that type of shit around when he made the followup.

I think Lock Stock ruled (even though he stole absolutely everything and has proven he has no skill in making films when he made the film with his wife that was so bad it didn't get a distribution anywhere as far as I know) and Snatch is ok.

Obie Trice 08-18-2003 06:45 PM

1- Die Hard 1 ,2 & 3 Bruce Rocks.
2- XXX with Vin Diesel
3- Blade 1 & 2

yeah, it was hard leaving some of these off the list. TBL is hilarious, and "the dude" is one of jeff bridges' best roles ever.

waiting for guffman was really good too. i saw that christopher guest made a new movie earlier this year about folk music with the same cast but i didn't get around to seeing it yet.

Well I must respect your decisions, they're quite good
My personal taste is different, I'd have to have:

Braveheart
Hidden Dragon Crouching Tiger
Star Wars
Lord of the Rings

and probably another not so classic movie
like
Snatch
or a foreign language film.. Hollywood gets repetitive after a while
