Get a job at McDonald's, and in the middle of night build a statue of Satan in the place and see if it's allowed to stay because you're exercising your right to free speech.

A McDonalds would be private property.
Guess common sense isn't one of your stronger points.

Public property is owned by all citizens and your constitution requires it to be secular... keep your filthy religion to yourself.

Personally, I think it's poison for the mind.

Have you READ anything I posted earlier?

This has absolutely nothing to do with religion.
I have no religion.

I wish some judge would put up a huge Muslim monument in a public building.

Let's see how long that would last.

I have no religion.

This also has nothing to do with freedom of speech because you are talking about public property.

It is quite legal for the judge to have that monument on his own land but he has NO RIGHT to have it located on public property.

escorpio 08-20-2003 07:49 PM

Government and religion are bad enough seperately.
For fuck sake, PLEASE don't mix them.

For those that believe government and religion should be completely seperate, please note that God is embedded on all U.S. currency. This makes the currency unfit for your use, and I will be holding a collection of all tainted currency in the future. :)

Why put god as a symbol of something, person, peace, etc. Learn to look above your current state of mind, see past the bullshit that helps you learn and expand your mind to the higher levels of thought.

God is all of life, everything, it is us and the air, everything. Not some object that we place in our minds. God can be called anything you want.. God is life and love, happiness, etc.

This is why the world has troubles, everyone seems to forget that god is not one thing or something.. THE CHURCH just made us think that to hide the real truth.......

Church and State should be torn apart..

This is a matter left for the state to decide.

There is no such thing as state's rights since Bush took over. Maybe you missed the part where the federal court overturned the state court and made Bush president?

State's rights are dead.

Nice try, but you seem to think state rights usurp the constitution when it helps religious fanatics, but state rights suddenly don't apply to federal laws that help Republicans get into office. :1orglaugh

What do you think of Bush and Ash-cro-ft busting pot smokers in states where it's legal for some people to smoke pot, like California? In that case, Bush and Ash-cro-ft are usurping state laws with federal ones.

Is Bush wrong?

I LOVE religion: it's a handy way for the little brains to label themselves.

How could you take anybody seriously who goes to the special rituals on Sunday to talk about how great their special club is because they believe in the magic book...or who doesn't use the stove on Saturday because another magic book says you can't...or who gets down on a giant placemat five times a day to face the magic black tent...or who thinks they'll burn in a bad place after the die if they use zippers or cars...or who make their women folk wear giant biohazard suits because naked ankles and titties are evil...well you get the idea.

I personally like cars, zippers, stoves, titties and free sundays to watch F1 and I tend to ignore magic books.

Maybe the ACLU should have gotten involved.

oh that's right, they're against these type of things... things the MAJORITY of people in this country hold dear, things that offer a somewhat positive message.

Freedom of Speech, expression, and art.. bye bye.

Further down the fucking spiral we go.
This country is a contradiction of itself.

This is a good thing. What's good about christian history? It's 2000 years of murder, rape, imperialism, and genocide.

I say religion has no place on this earth, period. Thousands of
years ago when we were just learning how to speak, sure we needed some set of ideals to help keep people together..

Maybe our new religion should be the advancement of the human race.

You are a fool. The weak are easily manipulated by political elite in all spheres...church, state, business.

Quite a few of those 10 commandment statues found on court houses etc...were done as a promotional material for ...

10 Cmmandments... the movie...
serious.

You probably believe in the confederate flag representing the south.

The fairy tales people tell to manipulate the weak of mind.

Ironic...given the Jews exodus, and Moses receiving the Ten commandments on Mt. Sinani... returns to find the Jews worshipping idols.

You really are retarded.

I think that states usurp 'federal rights' on all matters not specifially granted or denied by the Constitution.

Funny -- the founding fathers agree with me.

Have you ever read the Constitution?

Your conspiracy riddled thoughts on the Constitution are noted.

Funny you can't provide and article/section or amendment to prove me wrong, so you use misguided attempts to label me a right wing nut.

Yes -- as it pretains to drugs in states that have granted such rights.

Try again.

The 'war on drugs' is a joke and CANNOT stand up to any Constitutional challenge...

Too bad drug addicts are too worried about their next fix to actually challenge the laws.

Weak -- come back with something next time or don't come at all.
