You think this is great?
Wait till Steve takes over the world!
Then he is going to do a promo where the top affiliate for each site gets a third-world country! :1orglaugh

Funbrunette 09-29-2003 04:14 PM

Great idea! :thumbsup

At only 60% rev or $35 per signup why would you bother chasing $1000.Good webmasters can get 80% and $40-$50 per signup in other programs:2 cents:

Show me a program that besides those flashy numbers has:

- Tons of quality free content that matchs the sites.
- 1:300 conversions on tgp traffic
- Excellent retention (i have members from early 2002)
- Goes the extra mile in affiliate support / flexible to weird requests.

And i'll switch to it under your ref code.

Thanks.

I'm in no way critizing your sites or business model.

Hell yeah, break up that prize to be to random webmasters that send more than ten signups a period.

But of course... this promo instantly draws alot of high volume folks that do over 500 sales a month.

Rick Latona 09-29-2003 06:56 PM

You don't need to send over 500 sales a month to win anything. A program like this with tons of exclusive content surely relies primarily on all you hard working webmasters making galleries and such. Lightspeed is a program for the masters that any webmaster with gumption could win a prize promoting.

They didnt have to give away a single dollar let alone 25K.

For the record I know I am not going to win any $1000 prize.

Hell it is hard enough for somebody like me to get a fucking shirt.

Dont get me wrong..

$1k isn't hard to get..Its just those fucking laws:1orglaugh

I have been through what seems 100 different programs and LS is one of the best.

This is a excellent reward for their top affilates.

Sounds like a really great offer, but I always thought it would be nicer to offer a multiple random drawings between everyone who sent at least x number of signups. That way, the poor guy who's struggling to feed his family on 15 signups a week and really NEEDS the prize has just as much chance to win as the guy who would think the $1,000 is just a booby prize. The big guys probably won't change their sponsor links JUST to get a crack at $1,000, however if the little guys thought they might win, you'd probably get dozens of people switching over links from other sponsors just for the chance. Good way to increase overall revenue from the people who KNOW they'd never be able to be a #1 seller. Offering one random prize is good, but it wouldn't be enough for most people to think they really had enough of a chance to win to switch links over, but 25 chances might be. :)

Just a thought. Good luck with it. It's a very generous offer, anyway. :thumbsup

Great thought ! :) I enjoyed the $500 from the random Max Cash drawings last year.
