hehe.. i understand.. i was raised catholic. believed up until junior high. you can't undo 15 years of church. you can claw back 99% but there will always be that nagging 1% that no amount of logic knowledge and belief will rid you of.. I was got at too young. the indoctrination started while my brain was forming. We had no chance.

That's another thing. 3 times a week meetings is insane.

I seriously can't think of any well-adjusted kids who grew up that way. All the ones I know are dissassociated, disfellowshipped, or clinicly depressed.

reminds me of a funny story... One day when i was like 16 years old, i was out front of my house in the driveway washing my car while my dad and a couple friends were playing some basketball on my hoop. a couple of these jehovas witness chicks roll up the driveway and ask my dad if she can talk to us. my dads like, "sure, what can i do for you?" They begin to ramble about their deal when my dad stops them and asks them, "Do you save people?" One of the girls was like, "of course". Then he's like, "Do you save hookers?" Again, the same girl goes, "well.... sure we do". Then I shit you not, he then asks the girls, "Will you save me a couple for friday night?". My friends and I were busting up and the one chick was pissed, while the girl behind her sort of cracked a smirk. It was hilarious.

Not necessarily, the elders (equivalent to a catholic reverend) are supposed to be required to do a one-year visit on ya if you are disfellowshiped. I have never gotten one, but I moved and never checked in to the local congregation.

Yeah.. they do look-ups on you, because if one is interested, they can be "Reinstated". However, I just tell them I'm Wiccan and they turn tail and run. Apparently wiccan = satanic human sacrifices to them, and they don't bother to come back. :P
