Look at the flamer in the background, backwards blue hat, he loooks like he's going to cry. |
That was NOT A KID, he is a grown man and deserves to die. He fucked his own team. Just openly bent the Cubs over a table and didn't even give 'em the reach around. FUCK HIM. I hope he doesn't make it out of Wriggleyville in one piece. I called my friend at the game and made sure he was given out a description of that son of a bitch.

God Bless that guy for doing what 999/1000 other fans at a game would do if a pop fly were hit their way.
GO FISH!!! |
Ball was over the stands, everyone of you would have gone for it out of instinct. Cubs simply could not get anyone out in the 8th.
Unfortunatly, the guy is going to get some serious shit if cubs lose game 7. |

According to CNN the guy was 26 years old.
"To add to the hurt, that fan who kept Alou from catching the ball hit by Luis Castillo and kept the rally going was wearing a Cubs hat. Once the Marlins broke loose, people around the 26-year-old fan starting hurling beers in his direction and he was escorted out by security with a jacket over his face." |

If that guy had a job, he's been fired.
If that guy has family, he's been disowned. And lastly, he just signed a death warrant with every fan in the city. He better leave as soon as possible before his name/address are publicly released :) WG |

I flipped on WGN the moment the game ended to see thier post-game wrap up on the local (Chicago) news...they showed "exclusive video" of the guy being escorted out of the stadium by security. The guy is about 5' 1" and judging by the video tape of him leaving, he's about to be 6' under.
People were throwin programs, beverages, you name it - in his direction. People were shoving the security trying to get at the guy. The guy himself kept pulling his jacket over his face to try and hide...too late. It wasn't called interference...it may or may not have been. But if the guy reached over the wall and touched the ball it was interference. And looking at the pics/vids...that's a real close call. Someone with some hi-tech 3-d rendering program will surely draw planes, lines and graphs in the very near future to fuel the controversy. Either way...the guy was likely a Cubs fan. He likely lives in Chicagoland area. His life is forever altered by this event. And...though I live in Florida and love the Marlins...I love the Cubbies more and always will. This play undoubtedly changed the entire game. Who knows what would have happened if the ball was caught. Would the error have happened? Would the next batter have struck out? No one will ever know. The one thing I am fairly certain of is that we haven't heard the last of the guy who may have very well changed the fate of the Cubs' season. Whether it's an ass whipping or worse...this guy will be heard from again. That's Chicago man...I lived there. I have seen terrible things happen to people for a lot less! I hope he lives in mental torment for many years to come - but in all honesty...I hope he stays safe. |

I'm surprised he wasn't killed before leaving the stadium. Having grown up in that neighborhood and having worked at both Cubby Bear and Sluggers right across the street from Wirgley Field I can tell you drunken Chicago fans can be dengerous. I've seen people beaten half to death on the street after a game for far less.

Blame it on the rain!!!! Blame the short stop for the bobbled easy ground out and the pitcher is to blame for all the pitches that got roped by the marlins, point blank

I don't watch baseball, and I don't care about baseball, but I must say....
What a bunch of pussies! If that one play caused a so-called "professional" ball team to lose a game, then they deserve to lose the next one too!! That guy is taking the fall for a group of inadequate fucks who choked!! :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |

The same thing happened in NY a few years back. Some little kid reach out and caught the ball. The Yankees won the game the the series turned at that point. The kid was a hero, on the cover of all the papers including the New York Times.
