In all seriousness it really depends on what kind of site you have. First of all it has to sale, when someone first goes to it, it needs to be unique. A nice design always helps but don?t crowd it with so much text and content that they get confused and just exit the browser.

If you?re making a pay site I would recommend having a partner program and maybe email a few webmasters with good traffic and letting them know about your partner program. Make each email unique and not just the same email to every webmaster cause we all hate spam. Some will tell you to go fuck yourself, others will join. Keep good updated content. No one wants to promote a sponsor that never updates their galleries and adds new content.

It?s easy to get a site hits if you do it right. If you?re too lazy to do that then buy some traffic.

Well I did not read the entire thread , but I used to get 230k per day and now I get 600 - yes 600 hits per day and make the same maybe a bit less then when I had the 230,000 hits per day.

SE traffic is good if you know how to use it..

Plain and simple! now if you run a pay site you will get a few pissed off members and a few loss of sales but when you loose your traffic site you want to kill youself! I used to be a stres Monster running a high traffic site!!!!!!!!

Now I do pay sites non pay sites and working on My New Niche. it is a pain in the ass, but what is not if you want somting badley?

There are so many ways to generate traffic, and so many ways to distribute it. You can have paysites, linklists, TGP's, AVS's, etc...

When working with paysites, the best way to generate traffic is through excellent content, a nice webmaster program, a few affiliates with nice traffic behind them and some serious Search Engine placement.

With linklists and tgp's(I'm giving you a brief rundown all lumped in 1 group), there are several ways to gain some traffic. There are of course scripted traffic trades which are nice for short term traffic, but hours of downtime can literally kill your site. The best way is to establish a network of sites sharing hardlinks. The productivity is higher and there are some other advantages of it. You can also purchase traffic from a reputable broker. Always do research before making any purchases. There are also programs that offer traffic for hits sent to galleries. Again...these are just brief summarizations of basic ways to get traffic. For the real innovative ways, you just need to experiment and find the right combination of things.

With gallery pages, you can buy spots on some of the larger TGP's, purchase some galelry traffic from reputable traffic brokers, or build up a reputation and earn some trusted submitter accounts at high quality TGP's.

With AVS's...You have linklist submissions, TGP submissions and AVS traffic itself. Again..there are many more ways, but you need to start off with a basic foundation.

Above all, just work on earning a trust within the webmaster community and establishing some partnerships. This will be your biggest source of traffic.
