Ya know I been around this business for a loooong time and it escapes me how some webmasters think they are owed something by sponsors.
Not saying you are, but PB severed with pay, and thats about best case scenario. Sponsors have it tough these days, and have to implement so many things to stay within CC regs and make profits.... Someday webmasters will have to PAY to join a sponsor program. Imagine that? :-)))) |
Its the paysite owners job to retain the members plain and simple.
Should Zorgman have been terminated, no idea i dont the rules you agree to when signing up to the PB program, is it fair that he was terminated? Hell no, if a paysite cant retain the surfers that a webmaster sends to the site, you dont punish the webmaster for it. You look at what you have (or lack thereof in this case) in your members area and improve them, its that simple, webmasters get paid for sending surfers to our sites, if they dont convert then WE (paysite owners) havent done our jobs you dont can the webmaster :2 cents: |

This is not about paysites retaining, they stated their percentage between 35-37% I believe. This gent fell to 19%. Is this a question of PB and maintaining membership or a webmaster being handled based on performance standards set by the masses and peers? |
Some affiliate webmasters are worth more than just a "kiss off" email. This is not about taking sides, what I'm saying is that a guy like Zorg is a pretty good webmaster as far as I've ever been able to tell. Wouldn't it have been a better idea to "work with him" a bit rather than simply cutting him loose?
It's not that hard to email a guy and say "Look, we are having problems converting your traffic from trial to full. In order to prevent the deletion of your account with us, we are willing to work with you to improve the performance of your referred members."...... and go from there. Like I say, maybe offer to change him over to a partnership, you know, rather than just canning him. It would be nice to see sponsors at least attempting to be a bit more reasonable and understanding about these things. |

Hey, I'm sure you have dropped sponsors that did't produce for you right? I mean why would you keep a sponsor that was not selling... Sponsors have the same right... if you are costing them money, then they should be able to dump you... maybe your sign ups had too many chargebacks? Who knows. :2 cents:
|
Just a recap of the two valid points I have found that still havent been addressed. If zorg had no trace of cheating and seems to be a stand up guy why not send him a warning email and try to work with him to get his conversions up, or switch him over to a different payment system if he so wished. And secondly the spam question, still no answer on that. :thumbsup

So what is it about the spam PB?
Signed up and very shortly started receiving the same spam everyone else seems to be getting. I love pre-auth's $7,500 MC's.... |

Zorgman, my philosphy is this concerning that type of behavior of a sponsor: If they have close your account because of your trial retention, screw them! They are not worthed ! Once a surfer join their trial site, it's their FUCKING BLOODY job to retain them and make them signed up for the monthly sub.. It's just plain bullshit that sponsor dumb the responsability of their conversion INSIDE their own sites, to the webmaster that brought them the trial surfer. Frankly, how lame is that !
Webmaster can filter the traffic all they wants, but once inside a trial site, no webmaster can be accountable for the behavior of that given surfer. I would guess that PB has just very lame websites and marketing, if they can't retain their own surfer. On our part we have already the responsability to attract the surfer, make it signed the trial or full membership, and find the appropriate strategy to do so. It doesn't mean that once inside a sponsor site, the sponsor isn't obliged to the same, quite the contrary. If he fails on his side, it's his fault in my book. Don't worry Zorgman, ask any sponsor rep. here, who want 1000 uniques clicks to their sites, and you will be properly spammed :) . i am sure you can find better than PB, that won't be hard, i guess... |

The 'deny everything' mantra from the X-Files hasbecome 'don't respond to anything'. Seems to work...no? Well, no spam today, so maybe the questioning did make a difference...until next week that is! :1orglaugh |

Well I was hoping we would get a "we would never do this" or something similier to that! Well I guess we just have to keep bumping this to get an answer |
PB is the best... you must be a big fuckup if they cancel you :1orglaugh
|
It couldv'e been worse they could have said that you were a cheater(they word against yours) and you gets nothing...just send your traffic somewhere else...
|
I can't see what the problem is.
If they were making a profit off you they would not have closed your account. It seems to me, companies have to look at it and decided for the traffic being sent, the B/W used, the money paid, they have to show a profit. Simple arithmatics. |
bad time to happen, but i guess there is no good time for that. at least they are paying you before cutting you off
|
Now I'm getting work from home spam from the same people..
I'm going to blacklist these pricks in every list I have on record.. |
Platinum Bucks does not spam our webmasters with credit card ads or any other form of mainstream ads.
If you believe this is the case please email me the spam at [email protected] I will investigate the situation, we are as concerned as everyone else if our webmaster list has been comprimised. Fraud and theft are a very major issue on the internet today, we do everything we can to prevent this. Shoot me an or all emails so we can investigate the situation about these mainstream spam emails to some webmasters. sorry for any harm this may have done, we want to investigate the situation to the fullest with your help. thank you |
