Are you sure its for life? I was looking into it and they said it only lasted a few years.

I'd get that done on a few places for sure, esp. if it's only $1k, the place I was looking at was much, much more.

One is called Tend Skin available at Sephora.com, another is the entire Anthony Logistics for Men shaving kit also available at Sephora.com and high-end department stores.
thanks!!!

Shaving is so boring but yet I love being smooth.

BAHAHA " fat mound "

This is the clinic that did the procedure on the Stern show

I imagine they are pretty close to being the best in the country.

If it's "brazilian style", it's great. God is Brazilian.

Are you sure the hair will be gone for life? I know some services like that here in Brazil, but the hair will be gone for something like 3 years.

How many laser sessions (days) she did?

Libertine 12-19-2003 04:29 PM

Damn... I'd love to do that with my ass, back and shoulders :1orglaugh

anidifranco 12-19-2003 04:31 PM

Hey, if your wife's crotch isn't on fire by this time tomorrow, please post the clinic that did it for her.

Head 12-19-2003 04:35 PM

My GF did her bikini line; they lasered it for 3 years and then she stoped. It grow back in a few months. Not as thick but still. I don't think the girl the did it was any good or she just wanted the cash cow!

Theo 12-19-2003 04:36 PM

Could we work up a deal for before and after shots?

Furious_Female 12-19-2003 04:42 PM

I would love to have it permanently removed. I was looking into laser treatment... I hate body hair anywhere but my head and eyebrows!! But those botched procedures are disturbing :( :uhoh

TaylorM 12-19-2003 04:45 PM

OMG!!!! That is horrible! I wonder what the person looks like now?

I don't know, but those are pictures of 3 different people. Do a websearch for bad laser hair removal, and you'll see plenty more.

If you are olive skinned, it will leave your skin forever darkened even if it's done perfectly.

Sounds like to risky a deal. I wouldn't chance it.

Coy 12-19-2003 04:55 PM

It is something I've been looking into for a while now. I hate having to shave, and then when the red bumps do happen.... ugh torture!!

I'm nervous about actually getting it done especially what can happen if it doesn't go 'smoothly' heeheee

I'm with you Furious_Female, I don't like hair on my body except in a few places :)

anidifranco 12-19-2003 04:58 PM

Don't the rest of you girls ever get pissed that lack of body hair has become a standard of beauty? At it's sociological roots it's about infantilizing. Which I won't go into..

I buy into it as much as the next person, but still it makes me feel like they are making being a woman a pathology.

Theo 12-19-2003 04:59 PM

if you decide to do it,better test a very small part of your body, wait a couple of days to see the outcome and if everything is normal proceed.

Real simple: No one is pointing any lasers within a foot of my package.

There's some rules in life that are no-brainers, and that's one of them!

Hooper 12-19-2003 05:07 PM

how about... "liquid hot magma" ?

perhaps an evil laser beam?

Hey Hooper

Sure .. a lot of us girls have brazillian waxes.. and you need to do that monthly .. and omg . painful ciy - every time i'm having it i'm cursing myself for being a woman.

the lazer option (which i've been toying with myself) .. is great painless way for same result
you need to go more than once though.. to keep 'retarding' the hair growth until it stops completely..

and yes brazillian is everything..

Ben-MensNiche 12-19-2003 05:32 PM

I was thinking about laser removal for my facial hair because

a). in the long run it saves me wasting my money on razors.
b). it saves me a heap of time shaving.
c). I'd much rather spend my time hanging out than shaving.

I guess I'll rethink that and keep shaving...not going to go down the waxing my face idea which one of my friends suggested.

If you have thick, coarse facial hair like many men, waxing will rip your face right off.

anidifranco 12-19-2003 05:35 PM

They need to come out with a Vaniqa for the bikini area.Vaniqa

VANIQA is the first and only prescription cream proven to slow the growth of unwanted facial hair (UFH) in women. Over time you may be removing hair less often. And that's wonderful news.

phogirl69 12-19-2003 05:35 PM

Of course I would do it if it didn't hurt.

But then again I'm pretty vain and would do almost anything for vanity's sake.

Have to correct you there. There is no quarantee it will stay away. You need a minimum of three reatments ( 1 week in between ) 80% change you see hair again within three months.

Nima 12-19-2003 06:51 PM

Holly 12-19-2003 07:26 PM

I would love to have that done! I go to a salon and have a Brazilian wax done every 4-5 weeks and it does *not* feel good. :( You'd think it would get less painful over time, but it really doesn't. I'm blonde and don't have dark skin so I'd be willing to chance it. Hell, I'd do the laser thing even if it only lasted for a few months. Better than every month.

SleazyDream 12-19-2003 07:32 PM

personally i think it's a great idea.

i'm tempted to have it done myself.... i fucking HATE shaving... but i do like short hair in some places....

i should have it done on my face (and back - you didn't hear me say that)

HEARTBREAKER 12-19-2003 07:34 PM

nope...i would rather shave:)

I think most guys just don't want to go down on a girl with a big ol' scary bush.

Shaving is all fun and good, and most girls like having a shaved coochie, its just the aftermath (bumps, redness) thats no fun to deal with.
