Stop begging for cash. Everybody has medical bills at some point or another. They deal with it. You're promising to pay people back. Why? The hospital will put you on a financing plan. They know you can't drop thousands of dollars at the drop of a hat.

And now you even have a "goal" of cash to raise? Thats pretty rough man. Actually no, thats just pathetic. Goals are set to raise money for the MDA, UNICEF, and your uncle dying of cancer.

i dunno i think he really needs help and this is a last resort. No one wants to admit that they need help but sometimes you have to suck it up and ask.

Yes its true, what doesnt kill you will make you stronger BUT bills like this cause a lot of stress which can cause even more problems.

I cant see why more people arent helping. He's only asking for $1000 and there are tons of people on here. Would it really hurt a few people to throw some cash his way?

Like I said, this is the third or so thread. People have given him cash. He's asking for more. He even has a specific goal. Thats what's pissing me off.

If I needed cash, you know what I'd do? Work. I've done it before, will do it again. I don't have sympathy, sorry. I do have empathy when warranted though.

its not as easy for an outsider to understand. Medical bills are the worst. THey not only make you stress out, but they hurt your credit worse then anything.

And working doesnt always help.

I had surgery in august and I missed 1 month of work. I have since been struggling to catch up on the bills and thats even WITH medical insurance.

I also have to go every 3 months for a biopsy and even take meds. Its expensive. To top that off its not like your paying just one bill.

Like in my case. I have my OBGYN, the anastesiologist, the hospital fee, supply fee, prescriptions, radiology, pathology, and then every 3 months, its my obgyn again.

Each one of these people get paid seperatly. Its a huge pain in the ass.

In the meatime, im trying to get caught up on those bills, while also getting caught up on my everyday bills as well.

Im sure he's going through the same thing and having just as much trouble.

A few years back I ran up several thousand in hospital bills after a group of skinheads decided to see how strong my skull was.

When I got the bills, I just called the hospital and said I was broke and I'd pay them what I could, which at the time was about 5 dollars a month. It took a very long time to pay off, even with larger amounts paid later when I was making more money, and it never affected my credit.

Last year my wife had to go into the emergency room when she was 8 weeks pregnant, we're still paying 10 bucks a month towards that 2500.

Hospitals can be dealt with if you're up front about what you're going to pay, especially if you actually pay what you say. They'd rather that then turn it over to a credit place and not get near the total they'd like.

Good luck pr0. Just had a HUGE fucking medical bill for a short stay in the ER recently myself. Pentagon prices for everything.

Well my bills are roughly 20x that, not to mention the $500 a month i have to spend on medical insurance to even keep it.

Maybe i can work something out with them, maybe not, the fact is i need to be prepared.

I'm not taking any sides here... .but when I was 24, I had stones, my pancreas was failing and I was stuck in a hospital bed on a morphine drip for 2 weeks in ICU..... Those bills were astronomical, but I also called the finance department, had it cut in half and worked out payments. (At the time I didn't have a job either)

I do wish you luck in your recovery though. Maybe you should put the computer down and get some sleep... Stress doesn't help recovery. :winkwink:


Just remember, bills are only bills... it's your health that counts more than anything! :)

PS. Even with my small payments, my credit was never affected and is damn near close to perfect so don't stress about that either doll.

Jennifer, Sly_RJ and others are giving you excellent advice. Most hospitals and doctors are willing to put you on a payment plan. Community centers in your area can help with prescriptions. Nothing wrong with paying of a medical bill on time.

Personally, I rather owe an institution money than a friend. Hope you get better soon. :)

when i see these threads, i look for others replies to see if they are legit, and if so, bada bing straight to paypal. Fellow GFY'ers helped save my friend MuleScrote's uncle about a year ago ... with small donations mostly. The dude would be dead now without the donations people gave.
