The thing that got under my skin was the attempt at an apology coupled with a defense, naturally built on "your rights".

You really can't apologize while claiming to "have a right" to do whatever it is you did. If you had a right to do whatever you did, the apology is nothing more than an ass kiss to pacify the person(s) you have displeased....

Oh she made remarks about the contest being rigged to favor the models willing to remove their clothes - she called someone an attention whore - she called one person a horse face and was basicly rude and unreasonable IMHO
