Technically... it's not illegal until they cross the border. Loitering AT the border is not illegal. Though it should be.

2. Why are people crossing the border illegally? Because of the fact that we as a country have made up the "american dream". I am not quite sure what this is yet .......

3. why have we exported jobs into mexico? Big corportate companies figured out that if they have people working for them in a different country that they wont have to pay as many taxes as they would otherwise. that means more money in their pockets. Now is it just to have these "sweat shops"? I sure dont think so, but this is just another loop hole that people use to get away with things.

How bout not being under U.S. EPA regs.. How bout paying employees about 1/3 of what they paid in the U.S.

It's not only Mexico with lax standards. France has a camp for illegal alliens, mostly Eastern Europeans, which is right next to the Channel Tunnel to the UK. They try to jump into the back of lorries going through.

When the UK goverment complain the French as usual do nothing.

It wouldn't just be the loss of cheap labour that would impact the economy, presumably the money they're earning is going straight back into their own local economies too, and would disappear with them.
