Someone asked why CBS did this, as if they felt sorry for Rupert.
Hell no man, it's because Mark Burnett is no dummy. He created Survivor, he knows the public's love for Rupert, and he knows that by Rupert losing *twice* that the public would be so disgusted at all of it that they'd turn Survivor off and never watch it again. Giving a million to Rupert (who truly deserves it) will revive the public's faith in the show and they'll tune back in this fall. It's all about the marketing. A million is nothing to Burnett and his advertisers, it's not even pocket change. But having Rupert lose twice and not get *anything* in the end - now *that* would impact the wallets of both Burnett and the advertisers. GO RUPERT!! |

Burnett started out selling T-shirts on Venice Beach. I'll bet he did quite well... |

I don't know, but ruppert won my heart, he is so sweet, a family man, a man of his word, hard working, and probably the best survivor ever. I think he played better this time, and was so sad when he was voted off. Still I love the man. Million dollars for him tonight! He deserves it!:thumbsup |
Why vote Rupert? Boston Rob was unbeatable at challenges, and carried his whole tribe for most of the game, just because he may have offended some of the tribe members along the way doesnt mean he doesnt deserve the $'s.
